^ Tucking things is your answer to everything haha

Lol Jon, yeah I could tuck it...but would rather toss it :p Guy on alltrac also mentioned taking out the charcoal canister but routing the gas tank vent directly into the TB...can't remember the replies for it though; not sure how it would result.

Yeah Rev, I've wanted to take my EGR crap out for a long time; my city doesn't have emission laws so not a big deal anyway. Though even if your city does there's a way to bypass it but doing some kind of ECU pinout or such; need to read more on it. So when you go to get an inspection done or aircare done just put the EGR crap back on just so it looks like it working but in reality it'll be bypassed so it'll show that it's working. I'm planning to move to Vancouver this summer and there is emission laws there but if I bypass it, it wont even matter.

im not sure if it would be applicable on our cars but a mate of dads whos a mechanic used to just block it all off with ball bearings, so everything was still connected just blocked off

    Hmm, interesting.

No updates as of today but as I was taking random stuff apart today and preparing to wire in my fuel cut off switch I came across this material under the carpet. Wondering if this is the sound deadening stuff everyone is talking about?

Ah, I see I see...lol does it peel off easily? Because when I get my new exhaust sometime; I want to be able to hear it and the engine more. Right now there is no muffler, chopped it off because it was so rusted (it was the original twin tipped muffler) and it was pretty loud but not nice sounding.

yer comes off prity easy, depends on the state off it. Different Climates Effect it in different ways. Mine for example when i had my rear seats out wiring in the 6x9's out of interest i attacked it with a flat blade, it was effortless to slice through it lol, put some times not that easy and a hammer and chizel is the way to go. Unless of coarse you can get your hands on some dry ice, then u freeze it with the dry ice, pour hot water on it and BANG she shatters off.
Iy may end up being quite load with out it especially considering there is so much of it. I was going to take it out but couldnt get a good answer weather it would be unbareable for every day use. I imagine itd be fair loud, specially if your new exhaust will have a note (wich i assume it would). My exhaust now already at times is a bit much on freeways etc and mines DB legal

yeah pull all that shit out skippy, you will hear EVERYTHING though, like every stone the car hits, potholes, road noise, ect.. you would not believe how much sound crap is in that car. like a good 60lbs. if it doesnt pull up, get a flat screwdriver and a a hammer and knock her out.

Yeah I was thinking about dynamat; not sure on the prices though; though I know it's expensive. I want to pull the carpet out; probably most of the sound proofing and respraying the floor with some rust proof paint. I saw a bit of rust under the driver side carpet as I was looking for the wire for the fuel pump; not sure how bad it is though; only pulled the carpet up a bit. Will look at it better today; keeping the fingers crossed that it isn't too bad.

Just a little update...well kinda; more of a photo shoot.

Anyway, went to Vancouver yesterday with a buddy to check out an '87 Supra that he is going to buy at the end of August. Drove around in that for a bit; damn supra's pull hard...it's the 7M-GTE. After that we decided to head into Vancouver (guy with the Supra lived in Richmond) and just drive around and take pictures of any nice cars we saw. Kinda got lost and ended up at the pier and took some more pictures, including some of the Celica. From there we headed off to try to get to Granville island and eventually did. So we went from Richmond to Granville island without the use of a map, no idea where the heck I was going and no help from any locals except a security guard at the pier who only said is was further West...lol.

As for the Celica...the front left wheel bearing is loose, left axle is in reeeally bad condition, both rear calipers are seized, needs new breaks all around (rotors and pads), shocks all around are very worn out and holy hell the power steering is leaking (few holes in the high pressure line), so it sprays everywhere, and looks to have an oil leak some where. Other than those issues it's running really good. Went from Kamloops to Vancouver and back (almost 800km's) with no issues so was a great trip. Only thing I did recently to it was I took off the mudflaps and took out the back seats and carpet (im not allowed to drive with more than one passenger so no use having the extra weight in the back.

Here are some pictures I took while I was at the docks in Vancouver:

I'll heading back there in a few weeks and I'll have a better camera next time so I'll take better pictures and better videos (ones I have now are kinda crappy).

    Cheers for now guys!

Thanks but yeah it sucks that you can't drive yours...wish I could help somehow. Even though I can drive mine I really shouldn't be. After returning from Vancouver my right rear caliper is getting ridiculously worse; it seriously sounds like a train when I hit the brakes or even when I'm not braking...they're not fully releasing. Hopefully the alltrac calipers will work and will be cheap enough to make them worth getting. Went to Toyota and for two rear calipers it's $674.00...ouch

I thought I'd post the video of my car in a tunnel in Vancouver in my Celica thread along with it in the video section.

    Here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3yuPWl_xp2c

    Cheers!

You may want to check out DV Aldous in Vancouver (on Fraser Street), they sell caliper rebuild kits or complete remanufactured calipers at reasonable prices.

man carquest has rear calipers for about 50/side. i priced them out a while ago. and new alltrac fronts are 68 / side. i dont recommend using junkyard calipers. chances are there fucked. and from the price of new.... from what youve said here sounds like your slide pin on your rear caliper is siezed.
