    Thanks for comments guys.

To Rick: I think the Sony will look just a good though. It's essentially the same thing (inside) but just with a different outside. To be honest the main reason why I got the JVC is because I did not see the Sony one until later on - after I bought the JVC.

To Jon: Yeah soldering would have been better butt I don't have any shrink wrap to wrap the wires in and the butt connectors seem to work just fine for now; if but connectors worked for the starter relay mod than I am sure they'll work for a deck.

Even without an amp or sub the sound is great; probably won't even bother with an amp or sub unless I can get both for next to nothing - also want to keep the weight down as well especially for what I have planned. ;)

    Re: Tanner's '86 GT-S [Update - Feb.11.09]

Well as some of you may or may not know my radiator is leaking quite bad and got a bad oil leak so I haven't driven it lately. But today was really nice out and I was standing in the driveway after I got home from school staring at my celica and felt bad for it because it was so dirty, so I put some coolant & oil in and headed for the car wash.

When I got there I had to wait in line to use the wash bays (new place) and as I sat I could see steam seeping out from the corners of the hood; obviously it was the rad leaking so I had to turn it off...and the whole time I was washing it, steam was continuously seeping out from the hood. Ughh I hate to see that. BUT...a Koyo radiator from Jon is in the mail so stoked to get that.

Also, not a great idea to spray behind the wheels ( I sprayed the whole underside) because once I pulled out of the bay I had NO brakes (rotors were soaked); resulting in me running the nearby stop sign and almost hitting a snow pile in the parking lot as I waited for my brother to finish washing his car.....Ooops!

Anyway here are some pictures of my Celica and my brothers Corolla:

Thanks! Yeah for a 22-23 year old paint job it is really good; can't wait for it to be re-painted though. Kinda funny because yesterday is was really warm out and sunny and today it is freezing and snowing....makes sense right? lol my brothers car doors froze shut, including the lock cylinders; he had to go through the hatch to open the door.

    Time for an update.

On Sunday I drove down to Vancouver to pick up my new engine: '92 JDM ST185 3S-GTE. The engine isn't in the best condition but for $700 it was a great deal. I was surprised by how good the Celica drove with an extra 400lbs in the back; especially driving from Vancouver to Kamloops on the Coquihalla highway. The engine sure did lower the back end quite a bit. On our way there, we saw a '87 Celica GT in the walmart parking lot and just picked it up yesterday; I'll post picks tomorrow of it. So the trip down there was amazing; got an engine and a new Celica for me brother  Can't wait to move down there hopefully this summer.

Anyway here are a lot of pictures:

You can see how much the engine lowered the car

This pipe is for a ST205 but the guy said I could just take it for free so I did

As you may or may not know, my rad is leaking quite bad so I bought this Koyo rad off Jon (Celic_GT2); thanks again Jon. On the way to Vancouver we stopped where the old toll booth was and checked the oil and you could see where the crack in the rad is; the coolant was just bubbling out; but the engine did not over heat so all was good.

    Jon:
Yeah I know I can't believe I haven't got the rad put in either; stupid safety tests/work. The car made it fine to Vancouver and back, even with the leaking rad so I can't complain. lol I had to take a pic of how lowered it is, looks badass and can't wait to actually lower it; it'll probably be that low but of course will also have low profile tires on. I never had plans for that dp, i mentioned the flange and he said oh yeah right i'll be right back and brought out the flange along with the pipe. He said he didn't need it so he said just take it because I will never use it. So that was pretty sweet. He was a super nice guy.

    Rick:
Hehe everything fit so nicely in the back; quite amazing. I am definitely going to take the whole engine apart and put in new parts where they're needed and of course re-paint EVERYTHING. If all works out, it'll look pretty much brand new.

Oh and yeah....It'll have a FMIC instead of the factory TMIC for 3 reasons...1. Don't have to cut a hole in my hood and 2. It'll keep the stock look and give it a sleeper look.

It'll be the rad I'll use for a while. Once my new engine is in and I have upgraded all the components that need upgrading then maybe I'll invest in a rad such as an all aluminum ASI rad. But for now it'll more than due. I like it mainly because it's pure black

I remember seeing a koyo sticker on my rad a while back..i assumed it was the one that came with all the gt-s's? or is that aftermarket
