Re: my st162 5sge RIGHT well i've got a few things underway i've got another head being cleand and all prept up for the rebuild and i just pick up the turbo with mani the other day thanks to an ozcelica member, but i have to buy a rebuild kit for it witch i will be doing next week some time i recon. I'll probably be re painting a few things while the car is apart as well Just a list of things i will be getting for the car/new motor Stainless mani Stainless dump pipe Adjustable cam gears universal intercooler kit Oil filter relocation kit and cooler, an earlyer model celica gearbox (thats if anyone actualy has any) just pulled the sump off the new motor i got from a 204 and i can confurme that 204's dont have ballencer shafts unlike the 5s i had befor in the car just been going over a few things last day or too and having a close inspection to tiny objecgs that may or may not need to be changed over well as you can see this is the oild cooler from underneath the 5s oilfilter cooler in this photo you can see this is the bolt that goes into the block to hold the oilcooler on and also for the filter to screw onto, in the center of it you might not notice but if you can there is a spring in there witch i prosume is for oil pressure control but im wondering does the 3s have something like this somewhere in the block cause i now have the 3s p oilfilter screw from the block witch eliminates the oil cooler this you can see is the lower timing cover i need a new one and if someone has one spare next week when i get paid i would like to take it off their hands and just to show what the current state of the engine bay is at this point in time Cheers Sean
Re: my st162 5sge started a bit more this weekend started stripping the car even more befor After all the air con unit is now gone thank christ for that, [/url] as you can see there is something wrong here this is the thermostat housing from the 3sge now it fits to the waterpump on the 5sfe from the camry but you can see it's not going to fit on the 5sfe from the celica the studs are spaced too far apart so that means i have to change over to a 3sge water pump now, cause i need that thermo house cause it has my temp sensor in it
Re: my st162 5sge im just going to add a few things from my main topic on another forum just so i can add it all at once, but so fare the progress has been good finaly got the harmonic ballencer off thanks too a good mate of mine, so i got a little bit done got the timing cover off and changed the crank belt belly from 5s to 3s, and the new addition was my brand new waterpump so no i have to problem with the thermostat housing anymore some goodies arrived for me also, very nice looking genuine parts 5s metal headgasket and my 3age washers for head bolts and my headbolts are here also got the head together with the new gasket and head bolts so looking good just waing to get anough cash to get the gasket kit found myself a gearbox for $250 in tassie thanks to my girlfriends old man who knows people, and thanks to a member of ozcelica i have a lower timing cover on it's way hopefully and i just need a gasket set and it can all go together finally and it's shall be on the road and then all be able to start buying up on turbo items, and i shall have myself a 5sgte oh and i almost missed out cuts for fixing my standard mani that needed fixing, witch i still have to pick up off him Cheers Sean
Re: my st162 5sge ok well here is a promising shot that most people are wanting too see id like to thank a good friend for helping me get this far there is many things that he has done for me and i haven't even asked him to do it, if it wasn't for him i would be nowere near where i am today, hes a do it all kida guy!!! something i just t notice when i put this turbo on for shits and giggles cause it would look the goods, well looking at the dump bolts it lookdds like it might hit the dump when it's on there and witch means i can't have the standard oil cooler at all cause it put the oil filter out an extra inch so just for the future im worried unless i get and oil cooler and relocater kit at the same time
