and for the moment that is all, should have the covers done by tomorrow Cheers Sean
yes yes i doo i need money for that, a set of extractors are ruffly about 450 bucks over here and to get the moddifyed to pass under the sump where the ballencer shafts are, but i managed to get this for free now i just need a snail
oh i see  sorry for my rudeness above , didnt mean to say it like that ive never seen a st185 manifold without a turbo attached so was like eh ?
with the 5s bottom end it improves in the lower end touqe of the vehicle help with good takeoffs from the lights, and also has a better high end pull if that makes sence
Re: my st162 5sge it's been a while since i've posted a reply. everything has stopped since i did a bearing, am looking at getting a turbo 5sge in this time round am just on the lookout for parts atm and will post progress as i can cheers Sean
Re: my st162 5sge out of curiousity, what would be the (estimated?) specs of the 5s-ge swap? I mean with HP's and torque? And what about fuelconsumption? Is it making you poor or is there little difference compared to the 3s-ge?
Re: my st162 5sge the fuel consumption is the same as im using the 3sge standard ecu and the standard 3sge injectors so fuel consumption stays the same, as for kw/w or hp i have no idea as yet have to get the car done and let it run in a bit befor i get it on a dyno and also have to look at another exhaust solution as the one i modifyed was crud Cheers Sean
Re: my st162 5sge the poor girl has had a bit of neglect it really needs a good clean up once im finished building it this is what the gearbox looks like but its really only a tester as you can see im still after a drivers side electric mirror and im gunna need a bonnet and drivers side guard to replace the nice dent thats in the bonnet and guard this is the motor i picked up off scully in good nic visually and was running in the car befor the car got riden off so i don't think there is goign to be any problem at all with this one this time with the 5s im going to remove the ballancer shafts and put on a 3sge sump so i have more clearence from the exhaust to the ground, and tthe reasons for the gearbox change is the change the position of the starter motor cause on all 162's they came possitioned under the exhaust manifold but the 165 come over the gearbox witch is mainly cause it comes with a turbo, witch is what i intend on doing one day soon i hope, and it just gets it out of the way to start with so im not doing it at the last minute, and also while driving on the highway im sitting one about 110 km/h and im roughly on about 4,000 rpm witch to me is crap and fuel consuming to the max,
Re: my st162 5sge same here it will take me a while but i will get there soon start back at work this week coming so everying will be on the go once again
