sorry guys been some what of a while since i've been on here due to holidays.

i went over the timing again and it was all good, took it for a drive the other week it started to miss under load witch gave be the shits big time cause it wouldnt make it too boost what so ever had a play around with thing and turned out my coil pack was well and truely on its way out. got that replaced and no miss or anything. now on another note my car is still running with 10 degrees and it doesnt drive down low anywere near as good as it does with 15 degrees. just wondering on some smarter people if it might be better for this setup to run a bit more advance

finaly got the bov on the car. its a little loud and grabs the attention of everyone withing a 300m radius but it does the job. also on another side note my knock sensor code has come up on the ecu and i cant figure out how to fix the problem. will get onto that in the next couple of weeks

    Cheers Sean

you don't like the stock tow hooks?

theres nothing wrong with the stock ones but. under CAMS (Confederation of Australian Motor Sport) you are not allowed on the track unless you have a tow hook that has an internal diameter of 40mm at both ends of the car, with stickers identifying their position

yeah that it. It's mainly because the hooks they use to tow cars with are 4wd hooks so they need to be capable of attaching it without a problem? And there is a lot of people around that just put on the car cause they just think it looks cool

Yeah that's another thing. It's about 400 ish fom Toyota for a whole new front lip as they are as rare as rocking horse shit. If you don't wanna pay that much you pretty much have to steal one off another car lol. And mine got tore off by the original owner so I need a front bar as well once that's together I will make a front diffuser witch will go under most of the front. That's a one day though. No hurry for that..

Still got a few things left to arrive like another tow hook for the rear. Detachable steering hub. Bonnet pins.

Yes they are, I have the quote in front of me, and the shipping is another $120 AUD, so 500 ish to the states from here (a member here needs one sent, I'v just sent him the shipping costs). MattC (in Sydney) is in the middle of making a mould for front splitters to be made but hav'nt heard the latest progress, I need one as well.

its just so hard to find them over here its not funny. i found one that some bloke had and i offered him 200 and the next day another guy gave him 300 and took it on me so. just goes to show they are a need everywere. i think from memory as one of my friends work in toyota spare parts. the sides were like 120 a side and about 200 alone for the centre

My Toyota quote is dated 5th April 2012 and it says $66.19 for each corner and are stored in Sydney.

The center piece is in Japan and is $236.08 delivered to my toyota dealer here in Ballina (N.S.W), sure as shit if we had them here in Australia they would be 30% less than that (maybe).

All up + $36.85 for GST is $405.30 delivered to toyota here in Ballina, if MattC gives up on his project I will have no choice but to buy one. Lets hope it's the last one I'll ever need. I'll try and avoid nose in parking in future :aargh

Crazy how much those lips are. Thankfully when I bought my car originally it still had it on. It was pretty mangled up but a little bondo and paint she looked new. I'm going to plastidip it soon to save it against the rocks on the roads here.

yeah well the next thing for me is to just make something up for the front. as in racing im sure it wont last. so there is no point for me in getting a brand new or even second hand front lip. so im going to make something

nock sensor arrived today, replace the old one. start car let it warm up and then give it a few revs. and bang check engine light comes on. check the numbers. and what you know the knock sensor has and oper or closed curcuit. cracked the shits big time. so i completely ran a new wire to the ecu, did that, and run in a new oil pressure gauge from the filter. so i reset the ECU by leaving it unlpuged for about an hour. start the car it was idling for about 15 minutes still no check light, sweet. as soon as i dab the throttle. BAM!!! the check engine light comes on. and surprise suprise there is a fualt with the knock sensor. so im now coming to the conclusion there is a fault with the ECU. and now the car will be sitting untill i get a new one witch will be some time.

    But on a side note
