I was talking about those wacko witches and wizards that dance around at solstice,
    - till the cops come and arrest em for eating too many magic mushrooms

Guru Rich: I heal the sick and do miracles on the track

Magic mushroom - grows wild in the UK, cook them, eat them and even the pink elephants can fly

Glad to be of assistance, my master

I'm volunteering for the position of "Druid", should you ever need one...
My potions are renowned for making women shed their garments, but in excess can
cause you to see your clothes lying on the floor - and realize you're still in them! :)

How's the prep for the next meeting going?

If you ever make the workshop tea over here stig, mines white no sugar or Potions!!

Job list for This Sat / Sunday
Sort out rubbing in front arch protectors.
Look at reducing rear camber to allow for space between rear tyre and Strut. ( this is a temp measure, 205 control arms sorted, but not fitting until, I can drop the rear subframe, and fit my new poly bushes for both subframe and rear suspension.
I dont intend re building the rear set up many times.) I have my eye on a spare subframe to build up, then bolt straight on. Still toying with the seam welding idea.
Fit flat shift, with 1st gear inhibitor
    Fit shift light
    Oil & Filter change
    Change plugs
Tool check over and spares ( I check everything and then pack it up, ready for race day)

I am away the following weekend, then race is at Woodbridge airfield, in Suffolk on the 28th.

will post pics from weekends work.

Pity you're in the wrong country

I'd love to help a race team again, I can sweep and make tea too - hint, hint
My South African coffee potion is for after the meeting and is called a "Nail" -
Because it nails people to the floor

Re: My 1988 GT4 ST165 Sprint / fast road car lots of updates

Job list for This Sat / Sunday
Sort out rubbing in front arch protectors. done, but not convinced it still wont rub, its on the actual arch lip thats its really catching, pulled out wing a bit and gently tapped it open, but will have to see
Look at reducing rear camber to allow for space between rear tyre and Strut.
Done, plenty of space now, and still -1.8 neg camber
Fit flat shift, with 1st gear inhibitor done, was a real pain fabricating bracket for pressure switch on clutch. but it works so well, can build 4psi boost in netural now  , so its almost like anti lag, but with my standard 205 clutch, a start like that would fry it!! Have wired in a on off switch as well, as its not very practical for normal road use, and it would be a real pain if the pedal switch bust when I am out.
Fit shift light grrr, the most simple addition, yet the most hassle... from the ecu using an aux you can tell the it to use it as a shift light. one wire gives constant 12v, the other becomes earth, when its time for the light to chime in. On testing this, we blew the led lights we were going to use, so swapped to a big ass one off my aftermarket gauges, just tempory ( want to fit LED shift light into rev counter eventually.) Can we get the light to work of the signal?? hell no, yet from a normal 12v source the light works fine... more investigation needed today methinks, but ideas guys?
Oil & Filter change still to do
    Change plugs still to do
    wash car still to do
Tool check over and spares ( I check everything and then pack it up, ready for race day ) all done

A good days work, but still few bits more to go... ;)

Car has settled well on its springs.

Just finished a through road test after the work we did on sat, no rubbing apart from when I go over speed bumps at silly speed, so I am well chuffed/ :D
Once the tyres are upto temp, it just grips and grips, its so netural in tight turns, just moves out in a loverly 4 wheel manner rather than the prev oversteer. Have to wait for the 28th for a reall high spped work out

Here is the track layout for the 28th.
1.8 miles, different surfaces, will be a proper good challenge, and I will be driving Trin like I stole her
All out attack, cannot wait to get stuck into those sweeping corners.

    Stripped out rear.

my messy at the mo office, you can just see the daft size shift light, still to be fitted if I can sort it.

The magic switch...(poor pic sorry  ) the noise on the overrun when changing up gears is just so awesome, will have to tape a video..

just few bits more to do and we are good to go.
