I'd paint those rear spring cups and go around a few corners to make sure.
Grippy tyres move around a lot and could rub in a long corner and explode - not a nice experience

    Excellent, keep it up

cheers, rear race tyres fitted with clearance before camber change, so fingers crossed the 3m spacers and a reduction in camber will be all we need. Currently its 1m  lol but will be checking it lots.
One prob with the tyres, is its hard to generate the same heat as I do on track on the road, unless I want to go to jail. :D

Still I have 4 weeks before the next race, so plenty of time to test / check / test / check etc :D

hmmm. perhaps some subframe connectors like i made are also in order?

mabye look into the longer st205 rear control arms. that may solve some issues you are having.

there was a group buy for a 1 peice carbon prop shaft at alltrac.net. i know they still make it and it's super light and seems to work very well. i have not heard of anyone breaking it yet.

Cheers, may have to wait on the prop. money wise grr

ST205 rear control arms is a good call :) can get them cheap too.

Will look at the connectors too. :D

it never stops with developing these cars :D

What are you going to gain with 205 control arms exactly? Just clearance for the tires so you can run more camber?

Exactly, I can run only stock camber with a safe distance between tyre and strut. I dont have this issue with road tyres, just the stiff sidealls of the R888s. I want to run at least -1.5 pref -1.8.

I plan to get the rear arches rolled, so I can eventually squezze in 225 / 45 / 16" tyres, at present the issue is with my current 215 / 50 / 16" ones.

plus the way I see it, any increase in the rear track will give a tiny but worth while benefit in terms of stabilty.

205 parts are dirt cheap at present.

Mafix mate, quick question re brake bias adjusters, what would you favour, bar or dial??

I am thinking that the dial adjuster is more precise, but I worry about being able to adjust it properly when on track, while I feel the bar would be easier to change while on track.

    any feedback?

i say go dial. mount it near the shifter base that way you can adjust it on the fly.

What are your mean of camber adjustment? Currently I am using the toyota crash bolts but I found that in the rear I am limited when only using the crash bolt in the top hole. The hub carrier is at the point where it contacts the strut body limiting the camber. Anything smaller than a medium crash bolt will sit inside the hole loosely. Im afraid that I will have to run one in the bottom hole also which I dont like the idea of.

using a pair of camber adjustment bolts from Whiteline.

Its easy to set them up either none or max, but other adjustment is a long matter of adjustment.
Max rear camber looks like this.

The pic was before 3mm spacers went on. thinking I could go to 6 - 10mm?

What do you think will be the effect of a wider rear track?

10mm. should help with the turn and coming out of the turn but it will make a little more effort-full to get into the turn i would think. all in all 10mm isn't much and it will give you more clearence.

Im running 15mm spacers in the rear. Rims are 15x7 with a 225 tire. They rub on hard corners (ie autox) even with alittle camber so fender rolling was necessary.
