So today i decided to fix a small oil leak from the dizzy.
it all went well when i was putting the final touches on and saw this on my plug for the dizzy
    [IMG]

only a slight dilemma and i was tanding there thinking what could i do.
so i whipped on the old thinking cap and was getting angry because i didnt know how i was going to fix it (mind you im staring at the other celica i own and nothing clicked)
then i realised i have a spare celica with some parts i can use temporarily and just have to do a wrecker run to get a spare part
so i cut the other one out from the spare car and began rejoining. and the car still would'nt start now this is when i realised because i touched the dizzy and removed it i might be slightly off with the timing so got the mrs out to keep cranking the car whilst i find the right spot and voila i now have a running ceica again.

heres a couple of pics of the broken plug

toyota plugs seem to be able to be "rebuildable" i've ripped some wires off of some old plugs and to my surprise, most of them you can open them and re-seat the wires in them. not sure about this one, but perhaps

I was hoping the same thing with the plug and being able to get it to pop open but couldn't find on there where it could.
All this means now is for my spare celica i will have to try and see if it does open or go to the wreckers and cut out a new one from another car
or as my wiring looms are fairly old maybe look at getting a couple of spare ones to have lying around and swap them over and try making my own one up.

An update for you about my bonnet.
A hunter express van rocked up at my house on Monday morning (wasn't expecting this)
and he told me he has come to pick up the bonnet (another thing i wasn't expecting)
anyways i asked him what i'm meant to do as i haven't heard from e-go since the previous thursday when they confirmed they received my emails the requested.
He asked if i had the bonnet packaged and ready to take back to his depot and i sarcastically pointed to my car and asked does this look packaged to you?
his response was do you want me to come back in the afternoon whilst you package it up and then i asked him what am i meant to do he explained that i should have received an email with some attachments to stick to the bonnet once packaged and i looked at him completely dumbfound and responded i havent received any messages otherwise i would have had the bonnet ready to go.
So he ended up calling someone up and next thing i know i have received an email from ego asking me to package my bonnet and sign a form to fax back to receive $350 back to my account (mind you i paid $450 for the bonnet inc postage) and that it was only insured for $100 and they were refunding me this amount minus excess out of the kindness of their hearts(well why not refund the god damn rest).
After talking with him he said not to worry about the packaging he can take the bonnet as is if i can supply some of the original packaging to "protect the corners" in my mind i was thinking now you care about the damn bonnet and it's corners.
In' the end i had the bonnet off the car in 3mins flat and explained to him i don't have a spare bonnet to install onto my car as this was meant to be my bonnet to drive my car around with and i just left my car sitting outside the garage without a bonnet on until he left.
then later in the day i installed my old original bonnet.
before he left i asked him what's happening with my bonnet he is taking and he wasn't sure what will happen but i know i wont ever see that bonnet again and it's probably going to scrap now.
So now after much piss farting around i am currently bonnetless and awaiting funds to clear (if they do send them) into my bank account.
looking back at it now i made a rookie mistake by allowing them to take the bonnet and now have to chase up my money if they stuff up and due to ego couriers being an internet based company they have no ph numbers to call to get a hold of them (however i got my mother inlaw involved in chasing them up and what do you know she got a hold of the woman who actually picked my fax up out of the fax machine the morning she sent it off for me with my details on it).
what i should have done was hold onto the bonnet until i received my money and got them to pick it up then

the bonnet was impossible to fix? i think i would have kept it instead, gone to the junkyard and get a bent/broken one and give that one to them

Unfortunately i couldnt hand them a random bonnet as in order for me to begin a claim with them i needed proof of before and after pics of the bonnet and i had no idea that they would actually come and pick the bonnet up and take away from me which really sucks as that was one rhing i wish they had have told me so i could argue and ask to at least salvage the vent from it.
The bonnet was reslly buggered amd it would have cost more to fix than it would for me to buy another one with a vent in it.
It was all bent and twisted and the vent was only attached on one half of it.
the pics dont show how bad it actually was.

thats the only thing that bothers me is the fact they took it off me like a child as by the looks of it "we are giving you a payout niw give us the bonnet as we dint want you to have it"
so for all i know it will be at there depot doing noyhing or gettin thrown out.

    Mini update.
i now have a goal for my car to enter it into the picnic at hanging rock car show next year.
so from now until feb next year i will trying to keep the car as clean as possible and give it a bit of tlc in some spots as i would like to make it look as nice as possible.

Still have a power steering leak and adjusted the timing on the car a bit as it was a bit too far advanced lol.
will be swapping a couple of parts from the other celica to make mine a bit neater also.

Has been a while since being updated on here.
I am slowly cleaning and neatening the car as best i can for picnic at hanging rock car show in feb to put my car up on display.
I removed the front wheels and degreased and sprayed under the car to see if i can find any leaks other than power steering but havent found anymore so thats a bonus lol.
I also cleaned the inside of the front wheels as tere was a massive build up of grease and grime from when i blew a gearbox gasket on the way to sydney last year.
I also attacked the enginebay with wd40 and a toothbrush and hose to remove some of the black cracp from te exhaust leak i had before i installed the extractors and cleaned up the rocker covers from grime.
Rob has helped me bleed my clutch as he said it felt extremely light and unusual for a 162 clutch.
Also had my guards rolled by rob as well and notices one of my adjustable swaybar linkages had lost a bolt and realised why my car handled really crap in the arse end.

Now i have the 25mm bolt on spacers on the car and fill the guards nicely.
Only problem i have now is the rattling tinny sound coming from my engine bay when underload and high revs and am considering turning the timing down a bit more again to see if that helps.

yes thats a ssv kit but only rear bar and side skirts. When i can respray the front bar i will install my st165 one and install that.

Lol the same thing my father inlaw said to me when he saw it until i lifted the sheet.
i have a fittet sheet underneath tucked under the seats and the back has been tucked under the mdf board i have under the carpet then everything on top of that and final layer is a fitted sheet also to protect the interior from being damaged

Yes :) I just wanted to say those rims on the last pic are much too big imo, and I want the old ones back, but then I read it was just a temporary state.
