Fiynix st162 1985 Maroon couple of happy snaps and dilemmas.

    Hey all.
i couldn't find my ride thread so am starting fresh again but throwing up old pics to refresh your memories lol.

    It's a NOV 85 Maroon st162 3sge Manual.
this is when i 1st got her.

My Fiance bought it for me roughly 4 years ago.
After a week of owning it it had spun a big end bearing and needed a new engine.

that is when i bought this car for the engine
    [IMG]

Anyways after a cpomplete weekend of uninstalling and reinstalling a new engine it got back on the road again after a lot of much appreciated help from rev_head

then recently it started playing up again and was a suspected blown headgasket, busted fuel pump, bad dizzy cap and rotor button and sparkplugs and leads and also the injectors being blocked Rev_head offered me his engine from his poor celica so......
I jumped at the oppurtunity and again with the engine swap.(rev_head again helped with it all and installed a sv21 camry box for me so i had all 5 gears and reverse instead of having to hold the gearstick so the gears wouldnt pop out)

Anyways here is a lot of pics from day 1 until now

    Cheers guys.
A lot of time and money and help has gone into rhis car and i dont think i could ever part with it unless it was written off or i would only allow rev_head to buy it.its my 3rd child lol

Rims are ozzy racing rsgt 17x7 offset of +40 with 5mm spacers on the rear and they fill the guards all round without scrubbing.
It could do with both a big clean and a fresh respray but thats later on after my wedding in july.

    Hey all.
i have been awol for a while but mainly due to family commitments and wedding and another baby on the way.

The grey rims in the picture are 16x7 offset of about +38 or 40 not entirely sure.

My old ra60 got stripped and gutted to just a rolling shell and as for pinky i sold her a few years back i could find her thread on the forums. Ut. Ot my maroon celica thread which i thought i had one?

Im hoping to be on a bit more lately now that i have internet again.

    Hey all,
Just a short update for you.
i have wired up the barker lights into the headlights of the car and under the right light there is a blue glow coming from the grill area as my parkers come on before my headlights pop up.

i have also found the perfect mounting point for the baby seat which leads the seat straps straight down behind the seat as opposed to the back of the car near the boot and gives me more boot space.
i only wish i discovered it ages ago before i needed to remove the seat from one car to the other.

i am also drawing up on the cnc a false floor for the car boot and have removed my spare tyre.
the idea of what i want to make on the cnc will be an mdf board in either 3 or 4 sections joined together by hinges for easy install and removal if needed.

then i am going to start drawing up plans to be able to install some acrylic (perspex) to the rear seats of the car with 2 slots cut into it for the baby seatbelt straps to feed through but also block off all noise from the back of the car and create less room for the heater and a/c to work in and hopefully make it a better space for keeping warm and cool lol.

one thing i would like to know is if there was ever an aftermarket option for wheel arch flares for the 4th gen?
as i have a set of 3rd gen fibremaster flares and have had recent thoughts of getting them installed and rolling the guards to fit into them.
maybe only installing them onto the rear of the car and make it a widebody arse end.
