I like the new color. But the black rims look better with the red paint. You could try to paint the wheels of another color to make contrast. I think it would look even better

i had considered plastidip rims in like a nice green colour but i prefer the whole black stealth kind of look and dont want to risk damaging my rsgt's lol

went away to wilsons prom with the family and got a few happy snaps of the car.
my wife took them and i drove got 350km's out of 20Litres of fuel.
got a lot of omg looks from a lot of younger people down there and a few adults

    Good pics.

How do you can drive about 350km's with 20Litres of fuel?

With 20L in my car, I drive almost 200Km. :(

Cheers Matt i asked my mother-in-law if the car looked intimidating in her rear view mirror and response was yes lol

Cheers Steve, my wife took photography in high school and her mum does it as well.she wasn't happy with the pics herself and said they were kind of average and wished we had a bit more light for a couple as you couldnt distinguish car from darkness lol

thanks fernando wish i was able to get a few more down there.

i put it down to rob's painting and panel beating of the car and neatening everything up before he sprayed.
i can't even tell how bad my rear 1/4 was from hitting a pole at his work.

Mrocha the place we were heading to is mostly highway driving and a lot of downhill areas so coasting was used a fair bit and i wouldn't let it rev out past 3 grand before changing gears.
but the cornering was awesome car gripped the road through the corners very well and stuck to 80km in most of them which was the speed limit for the area i was in.
basically that 40km sign in the picture the road is almost in that design for 20kms lol

just had to make sure if driving at night to go easy and not hit any wildlife like kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, deer, emus lol.

With my st162, even driving on the motorway, the more efficientI can do is 8L / 100km. :shock

ECU is jdm and AFM is stock i think it's better on Fuel also because of the full engine rebuild it had about 50,000km's ago
    Cheers mate,
that pic is one of my favourite.
was going to do some action shots but didn't want to leave the wife outside in the cold and wind and with wildlife around lol.
hopefully another time i can get some really good movement shots going.

Nice pictures! I really like your car as it is now, with the black colour, those rims and the lowering. But you have to align your left headlight cover to match the hood. You know it can be adjusted, right? :)

I believe his headlight and hood both need adjusting. The left front corner bump stop under the hood needs to be adjusted downward, it's causing a bigger gap above the grill on the left front corner, but the headlight cover needs just a slight tweek. But the car does look very good.......

Cheers LionTR and racerb. i think the headlight is back as far as i can get it.
it has been a while though since i have been able to go over the car properly.
i think the car has had a front end hit at one point in its life but the bonnet can be moved forward more as i checked it last night and still has a bit of play in it to move.

i am kid free this weekend so will be able to tweak a couple of things on the car and will try and adjust the gaps in the hood.
will see how i go with it all.

Hey man, I think your hood gaps are nearly perfect everywhere, you just need to turn the rubber topped adjuster screw in the left front corner down slightly. As for the headlight, try removing the rubber cover over the side motor on the left light and give it just a little turn until the back of the cover comes up to match the hood. If that doesn't work, you may have to add a washer or 2 under the back mounts on headlight assembly itself. The car looks great and don't get too crazy trying to fix this minor issue, just try tweeking it a little!!

    Update on the car.

have decided to really give the car a good clean outside and in and i forgot all about having a half black interior as it looked grey to me.
then i removed all the dust and omg it's black lol.
I went right through the car and vacuumed and bashed the crap out of the seats to remove all the dust/sawdust from work out of it. and right through the interior with a fine tooth comb to make sure it came up a real treat.
Can't actually remember the last time i cleaned in the car.

Only part i haven't done is the roof lining.
has anybody ever cleaned their cloth lining and if so how did you do it as mine has a couple of black spots on it i want to clean up.

Next on the list of things to do is

    Spark plugs
    Petrol filter
    Ray Brig headlights
Oil cooler sandwich plate so i can reinstall my oil cooler
and later on down track an actual remote alarm with central locking and remote start. If anybody has any recommendations on a good kit please let me know as all i can think of is a VIPER car alarm system.

here are also a few pics from a local ozcelica cruise i organised

    Hi all,
been a while but thought id make a small update.
Not much has happened with the car as money has been a bit scarce lately.
Only new things to report are new pedal rubbers, leather gearboot, removed my stickers,

have a few goals for this year on the old girl but atm other priorties have set in with bills.

Some parts i am hoping to purchase are clear corona indicators and clear side markers, group a bonnet vent, and possibly doing a brake upgrade to st202 brakes all round and using a st185 non abs master cylinder.

Not many issues with the car atm aside from a bit of overfueling and losing clutch fluid more than normal but next weekend will be installing a new braided clutch line and turning timing back a bit as it is a bit too far advanced.
Then doing a general service and checkup of the car.

have a couple of car cruises coming up that i organise every month so hopefully can get some good pics.

in the meantime here are some more shots of how the car looks now.

Wonderful photos !!! Really enjoyed looking at them and your Celica stands out a mile compared with the the gen 5 and 6.

Would love to see a photo of your interior nice and clean !

I have a steam cleaner which I used on the lining of the roof but you have to be very careful, it might cause the material to sag if not done properly, otherwise just good old fashioned cleaning with mild detergent may help.

    Thanks Steve,
It's kinda funny that my car has all the mods and everything. the 5th gen is a st182 with a couple of minor suspension mods and exhaust and the 6th gen is basically stock all round.
On the cruises they always like to try and keep up with me through the corners but you can hear their tyres screech at every turn and im usually a good 20-50meters ahead before i see them again in the mirriors lol

i actually have never really taken interior shots but after cleaning it i think the time has come.
I's all basically stock aside from front seat covers lol.
I did forget i had a black and grey interior when i cleaned it as the dust in my car was pretty thick in some areas.
Will give the detergent a go as it is all still grey aside from a couple of areas that look a bit darker than they need to be.
