Ok so I decided since I had some more garage time today, I decided to shift gears and move away from the gear box and do some wiring.

Going standalone engine management is not exactly for the faint at heart. Lots of labeling and documentation.

Haltech harness in, along with some factory wiring back in that needs to be reused.

Wiring hell, not a fun job
You can't adjust a grinding box, to fix it you will need to change the syncro and selector ring.
The teeth on the side of the gear must be 100% but the brass (brake?) isn't slowing it enough and I bet the selector ring is worn.
Grinding is the teeth not engaging and wearing like this -

The grooves in the brass ring are the brake mech, look out for steps worn into the selector like this

Pic above shows good engagement but won't stay in gear due the the "dovetail" removed.
Most are a combination of the two

You can feel for play on the gears, any movement means the bearing and/or spacer needs replacing.

I'm afraid you will need to swap some parts and the clearances won't be good either, there are kits available for the S52/3/4 but I can't find any for the E15x's?

Kit doesn't show the selector rings which are usually munted, unfortunately all 3 are different so you can't swap them around like on other boxes

    the wiring looks familiar!
btw mount the ignitor inside the car. and be sure and NOT use super low impedence injectors (just learned this myself, damnit)

Ok. Armed with this info, Ill have to take a second look and maybe get some better pictures. Its an S53 so it should be too bad for parts. Plus I have an S54 sitting doing nothing as well that I can snag some parts out of as well.

They are Delphi injectors from Wolfkatz. They say low impedance, but I dont have the specs on what the exact impedance is. Hopefully they are ok.

Also planned on putting that inside along with the relay box. Got plenty of room under the dash.

just stick an ohm meter on one of them.

Yeah, that would get a close enough reading. Ohms and impedance are two different things but it will definitely be in the ball park.

Eff me!! So after my girl had been sitting in a makeshift garage for 4+ years, nothing major really happened to it. Move into a garage and discovered yesterday that the interior is full of mildew!!

So after of an hour of wiping down and hoping the damn mildew stains come off my interior I went and bought a can of moisture remover to leave inside.

What a bitch that was finding that yesterday. I guess the garage is damper than where it was before.

    Its always frigging something.

Have to do something I really dont want to do...

Well guys, its been almost 3 years since Ive been online last. A bunch has happened in my life but not much on Victoria.. Unfortunately some things have come up that I am forced to take some steps.

Im forced to sell my project motor. I need the money right now and I just dont see myself getting the rest of the funds(and time) together to get this thing completely finished. Quite honestly it just turned into WAAAY more than I ever thought it was. Having 3 kids and a extremely busy job has left little time for wrenching. Im thinking Im going to just drop back to maybe a JDM swap of a 2nd gen motor in and be done with it. Its been at least 7 years since my car has been on the road.

I have over $10k in the motor alone now and know Im not going to get that back out of it but if I can recoupe a good portion of it I would be happy. Plus someone will get a really kick ass motor.

I have most of the reciepts and paperwork done on it.

So here the details about the motor.

2nd Gen JDM block and Head completely redone.

Everything was either replaced OEM new if necessary or aftermarket.

    Bottom end:
    Block hot tanked/bored .040 over
    New Freeze Plugs
Crank, rods and pistons all balanced.
    Wiseco Pistons
    Eagle Rods
    ARP Studs
    ACL Bearings
    Moroso Oil Pan
    Camry New 5S Oil Pump
New OEM Water Pump not reman
    New Oil Jets

    Top end
Head completely ported and polished and machined
    1mm Ferrera oversized valves installed
    Ferrra springs and retainers.
I believe the Cams are HKS(im still looking for that reciept)
Toyota shimless buckets special ordered to size( I have extras of various sizes)
    Fidanza Cam Gears
    Greddy Timing belt
    All new tensioner hardware.
    Wolfkats Fuel Rail
    Delphi Injectors
    ARP head studs
    Cometic Gaskit Kit
    Custom welded TVIS bypass plates

    Turbo
Toyota CT-26 with upgraded Compressor/exhaust wheel( as big as you can fit in one...I think 60:1) Dont remember the exact specs right off hand

    ECU
universal haltech p1000 kit with long lead
    4 channel hi power ignitor
    AEM short coil kit
    150psi oil pressure sensor
    100psi fuel pressure sensor
    air temp sensor
    coolant sensor

    Stainless steel exhaust manifold

I have a bunch of extra odds and end that go with the motor that I will give whomever buys it. Im open to resonable offers(Im not giving it it away). Ive routinely put oil down the cylidners and make sure its stayed nice a free.

I hate to part with it, but at this point I just need to sell it to pay some bills that have come up. You can look back through this thread and see a good part of the progress on the motor and anything I may have left off of my description.

It is located in NE Ohio about an hour East of Cleveland. Sorry I cant ship unless you arrange the frieght and Cashiers Check me the money. However I would prefer it to be picked up.

My hopes is someone on here will be interested in buying this, otherwise Ill be doing the ebay etc route.
