    BIG UPDATE! (Pic Intensive)

It's been quite a while since I've done an update on here. the car started getting scary to drive with how bad the bushings were. I would find it wandering into other lanes constantly. So I decided to do a complete polyurethane bushing swap. and fill my rear diff cushion with liquid polyurethane.

Here are the bushing I received from GT4-Racing.eu

Here are some pics from before I started. You can see that there is almost nothing left of the rear diff cushion.

the last picture is after driving on it for 2 weeks. these pictures also show where I had to shave it down, I filled it slightly over the edge to make up for any shrinkage and then had to shave it down to be flush.

these pictures are of the bushings after driving for about 2 weeks on them.

So the exhaust leak I had after doing the swap just kept getting worse and worse until it finally completely broke.

that has since been fixed, here is a cold start video with the new exhaust installed

Also decided I hated where my gauges were.
OLD location-this picture is from when I first bought the car. all of that wiring has since been cleaned up

Also got an alignment done and installed some decals from GT4-racing.eu to give me +5HP lol

Most of the bushing I i pulled out were so old and damaged they basically fell apart. there was nothing left but the metal piece for the front sway bar bushings as well...with the kit I also got new sway bar links but I didnt take pictures of those.

Night and day difference, I hit 170k miles on my way to work yesterday and it now drives like new. Eventually I want to do injectors, Hydra EMS, and paint or plastidip. But that won't be any time soon.

About 2k miles on the poly bushings and it is amazing! With the rear diff cushion being poly filled you can definitely feel the rear wheels doing their job.

Wow awesome build and car! I'm really planning on swapping my 165 too, but not any time soon. If you don't mind me asking, how much do you think you spent just for the engine swap?

I got a great deal on the engine from jdm nyc. I figure I spent 2500 tops after everything.

If you need engine mounts hit me up. I haven't done mine yet, but need to. I will be making them the same way i made my rear diff cushion.

Was shipping free? and man that's a good price. I'm motivated, but need to research and be educated a lot more...

Shipping was not free. It was about 600 from NYC to Washington. The reason I got a great deal from jdm NYC was because he was supposed to "sponsor" me. He was going to send me some decals for my car but never did. I've contacted him several times about it and he has never gotten back to me. They were great to work with though. My engine was missing the map sensor when I got it and I contacted him and he sent me one a few days later at no charge.

So, been a while since I did an update to this thread. Not much has changed. Recently the car has started squeaking from the rear passenger wheel and it made a really loud clunking one time...I think I've narrowed it down to the E-Brake, it looks like a spring in there is broken so I will be working on that this weekend. Other than that the car has been running great. I did end up replaceing the clutch master cylinder after mine decided to take a leak all over my drivers side floor....still trying to get that crap out of the carpet.

I'm planning on doing something really cool with my gauges in the center vents so stay tuned for that. It is going to be awesome! I've been driving on the poly bushings and diff cushion for over 6K miles now and they are still performing perfectly with no suspension squeaks at all! Highly recommend GT4-Racing.EU (i think that's right) for any suspension parts. they also have a fiberglass sunroof that I will be looking into soon as mine has got some rust under the seals, I will let you guys know how that works out.

Lookin pretty rad. I have yet I launch mine very hard. How much boost are you running? And I know it's probly mentioned earlier but what transmission and rear end are you using?

205 transmission with stock rear end. I'm planning on upgrading the rear end to the st205 one soon though. Currently I'm running 14 psi.

Thanks! The car felt rediculously quick when I first got it. but now that I'm used to it I'm getting the power itch again...Watch for a standalone and methanol injection hopefully within the next year. I'm looking to buy a house right now and one requirement is that it has to have a big garage/shop for me to work on my cars in. Once that happens I will likely be buying a second motor to build up and forge. Big plans for the next 2-3 years with this car though!
