    a real hot day today...radiator exploded.

    crack in the plastic part across the top part of plastic tank, bad timing as i have work 7 days a week until september 5th. is this the alu rad people are buying?

    and will this work for a 3S-FE auto...
    EDIT: i guess it won't work since i have a freakin oil cooler for the auto trans. any workaround for this?

    just have that top plastic replaced I would not suggest going for manual radiator you need that oil cooler to work

    +1 - top tank is somethng like $40 plus fitting and they go once every 20yrs

    You could fit an alu radiator but then youd need to fit a gearbox oil cooler as well.
    btw the auto radiator is bigger (thicker) than the manual version

    i had a place quote me for $50 for the top tank replaced. but i looked at the rest of my rad and it looks like it's gone through a lot. so i just replaced it with oem replacement since it was available to pick up right away from the store where i get managers discount!

    i put a manual rad in my auto.......works fine and i didnt have to make any changes..... weird.

    -what did you do with the trans cooling lines?

    -the replacements are all the auto type from my understanding. that way they only have to make one. so all new replacements should have trans hook-ups.

    i was thinking to just get the aluminum one but when i looked it up, it didn't have the trans lines. when i bought them, they did ask me whether my celi was auto or manual...

    Any news on the red AlllTrac? I saw that ad and emailed him too but didn;t hear anything back. I'm just curious if it was a 165 or not - I'm not looking for any more cars.
