if i'm ever happy with the paint (hopefully this year) , i'd hope she is like your girls. helping daddy polish the car.

as far as recent news...just working on map stuff. looking at her sitting in the cold. i did manage to repair the axle and tie rod. just needs to hit the alignment machine then i'm going to fabricate a small strut tower brace in the front. nothing crazy. and far less effective than the stock one. but it just needs a little something.

dug her out of the snow, did some more map improvements, drove around the block a bit. fitted a new front strut brace. nothing exciting.

well the next big thing on the list is to make the final version of my front splitter.
then an alignment...again...i hate doing them.
figure out why i slowly lose air in my one tire.

then back to cutting weight out. ever so slowly. i've got 2 harnesses left to lighten then start back on the engine harness since i've eliminated a few things there.

as always tuning my map to make her run as perfect as possible.

i want to play with my cam gears and see if i can manipulate the torque curve lower.

foam the frame rails. (i guess techinically i can do that now but that is a messy job)

then repair the body work and repaint her...again.

this is an annoying list that never seems to go away.

and i need to do the cooling system update. i keep forgetting about that as well. i am amazed that toyota makes a "no heat" option. more amazing is that they still have the parts!

well big update. i completed the cooling system update. OMG WTF the hose on the back of the block. my poor arm, it looks like i'm a cutter. i moved all the hood pins to fit the hood to the car better. i changed all the white zipties on the grill to black ones. i relocated the main fuse panel to the area that my headlight used to accomodate. i finally tackled the front body harness, which turns out is 2 harnesses. on lhd models, there is a huge area of tape on the loom above the passenger tire. under all that is the junctions for the right and left harnesses. i must have removed 400 feet of wiring. no lie. the pic is horribly decieving. on the passenger side of the loom, i have 1 wire left. and that goes to the engine main harness (for you guys). on the drivers side, the 2" diameter loom is now 3/8". so very pleased. anyways pics:

I'm assuming lights, cruise control, heater/ac, etc.

pretty much...all headlight related wiring, wipers, cruise, horn, fans, a/c, brake warning, ect.
i kept the 3 wires for the turn signals and parking lights :D

Eurika! i've made an interesting discovery. the IMSA GTO celicas used an electric grid front defroster. well guess what i've found! one headache, permanently gone! and it's not expensive either!

Front really ... Hmmm. Guessing with the lack of a heater you can still heat the glass when needed ?

Get yourself one of these and some 3" brake or fresh-air cabin hose and direct it toward the windshield, these things generate so much airflow it will keep your glass defrosted.......http://www.boatersland.com/att17314.html?gclid=CO7lkYXhur0CFYt9OgodNlUAwA

i drive in the winter as well. and it's so cold in there i really don't want to ram air into the cabin.

roy - i'm adding a defroster grid to the front windscreen. like the hatch glass has.

Now I get it ! lol

so what is your gain? Removing the heating system or is it an extra add on for quick defrost?

Understood, we very rarely race in the cold months, but even when we have this system moves so much air that it does a great job of defrosting. Believe it or not, the worst track for frosted windows with us was Roebling Road in Savannah Georgia, guess it was how close to the ocean we were.
