    Nice looking rims but I gotta agree with Alwayzsidewayz on the directional spokes thing. :? Cool that they come with Toyos though. Good tires! :D Whats the whole set up going to cost you? What are you thinking of for your suspension? Brands, lowering inches and such...

    Not bad. Do you know what your paying for the KYBs, Eibachs, and Hawks? I was actually planning on doing all that same stuff to my HalfTrac soon. Same tires even except for my 16s. :D

    Oh and suggestion: If you are going to do an engine swap, I'd suggest getting a 3S-GTE. :twisted: Well unless you have something against Turbos. :wink: Its worth the bit extra you will have to pay...TRUST ME! ;)

    Some unfortunate developments with taz. . . she is no more.
    in late september my celica took a hit to the left side front fender and door resulting in a fair amount of frame damage to the area between the door and fender. My celica is no more as insurance has decided to total the car due to repair and part cost. No I wasn't driving or in the car my dad was.He was making a trip to mini mart down from the house when a car STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE INTERSECTION ! ! ! Now this is what started the chain of events seconds later a car behind the stopped on swerved to miss it and mine. My dad was not at fault and the third person was doin 60 in a 35.
    I will likely part out what i can of the car so as to let her live on.

    Doesn't look that bad? Did they say the chassis was bent? - Doesn't look like it.
    Can't you get another chassis and swap out?

    It did bust the seam welds along the door jam and yank up the frame some.
    No shop will touch it for under 2g and they all wanted to do full paint and body and I don't have the tools time and money to pull the frame. parts form the dealer was gunna be close to 2g also and shipping on used parts was way expensive (600 bux) and no scrap yards here have celis due to the fact 90% of the state drive HONDAS and most yards cut off at 1990 here except for powertrain components. Been hunting for a new chassi to work with but have yet to find one.

    can massage the door to a usable state for got
    till I went to look the accident cracked the windscreen
    lucky me :(

    would totally take u up on the offer but i
    live in Hawaii and no insurance just wanted to
    total it and give me nada bloody no fault insurance
    and the dude that hit me was uninsured.

    been looking for one and all the ones i asked about the old fogies that own
    um won't turn loose but when i head off to tech school in the fall i'm gunna
    find one :)

    fair enough, good luck with it

    pitty you not in oz there always seems to be atleast 10 on ebay with blown head gaskets and descent bodys for $200-500 AUS

    I thought so at first, but Tuner says the screen cracked - which means the pillar may have moved and will have bent the front by a tiny amount which is very difficult to fix. Often the car never drives the same again. (it may have bounced back or the screen had a flaw as well)

    I'm prepared to help supply as I'm closer and am stripping my project right now, I have mine covered cuz I can't bear to see it with it's guts hanging out - so I think I know how Tuner must feel.

    Personally I'd change the door, fender, wack out the pillar and try it before digging a grave and starting over with something else.

    How does it drive now?
    Can you get the wheel alignment checked? (all 4) - that will tell you how bad things really are -
    I think you will be pleasantly surprised

    I'm told she drove ok gunna try an get her patched up and AT
    LEAST drivable. The fender I did some banging on and it came
    pretty strait the door is totally F@!#ED though the front area
    near the hinges looks like a smashed Coors can. I am gonna work
    on it some on my off days. Any advice in this situation is whole
    heartedly welcome and appreciated any leads on parts CLOSE to Hilo
    Hawaii is also welcome. THANK YOU ALL FOR THEW WORDS OF
    ENCOURAGEMENT TO GIVE IT A SHOT TO SAVE HER ! ! ! :D
