well its time for a long overdue update. Ive been in Thailand for a few weeks hence no progress or posting but i HAVE made progress on the ITB setup!

i have stripped the gen 2 GE head bare so thats ready for some love from the die grinder.

i hadnt done much to the TB's because i hadnt setup up the manifold yet so for spacing and positioning and what not it wasnt worth finishing them. how ever i have no essentially finished cutting down and shaping the manifold. heres some piczzzzzzzzzzz

Heres a close up of the manifold, getting it right has taken me quite a while making sure the faces are flush

How the TB's will essentially sit
    [IMG]

This is why i went with these TB's. The ID matches the gen 2 intake almost perfectly!

Im kind of broke at the moment so sadly wont be any more progress till after christmas i guess

Mafix, The plan is to eventually run just velocity stacks and uni socks however funding has been considerably cut for this project lol. so in the mean time i am looking at making an airbox so that i can run the AFM and use the stock ecu. just gotta work out the TPS issue

well yesterday was far from a good day as some of you will already know.
some other cars decided to spit roast my 162. a car stopped infront of me. I stopped and the car behind me stopped. The car behind that one however didnt and pushed us all into eachother.
    The result:

In all honesty its alot worse then it looks. IMO to do it properly it will require:
    new tails
    new back panel
    new beaver panel
    new floor pan
    new left hand 1/4 panel
    new front bar
    new number plate surround
    new rear bar
    new rear bar reinforcement
and then of coarse alot of bog and alot of paint

soooooooooo i havent had it quoted yet but i have a feeling it will be a rite off :( if this is the case tho you can all bet your ass i will buy another shell and build a cleaner and tougher car!

fuck. glad you're okay though, the car doesn't look too bad, but yeh there's many things that would need to get done. if you do need to re-shell, hope you can keep the parts you want from this one.

It's sad Rob you are ok that's what count's but that car is not a rite-off from what I can see, repair it less work than having to change everything into a empty shell I also don't see why you will have to change the 1/4 panel I see you are from Victoria there
are hip's of smaller crash repair's around Seaford area's or Frankston that will repair that very cheap

Fark, the car that caused it all must have had some pace on when they hit?

Faaaaark Rob, that is so sad, as Matt said, that dickhead must of been moving rather quick, prolly on the phone or some shit, luckily you were'nt the car on the end :eek:hnoes, we know who is at fault but who has insurance ?.

Nose to tail crashes are nasty and like you say, it could even be a write off, there's will be alot of underlying damage and sooooo expensive thru a body shop.

I lived in Mulgrave and Clayton for 10 odd years, where did it happen ?
