Rev Heads beast officially written off

seeing as the old one no longer exists and it didnt have much in it anyway thought id start a new 1
plus in the next few weeks got a few things happening (fingers crossed)

ok here we go...
i got pritty lucky with mine, when i bought her a couple of years ago i picked her up for $2000 AUS. Which may not sound like a bargain except it had a freshly rebuilt engine, extractors with 2.25" exhaust, new clutch, new brakes, head unit, amp, sub, front splits custom molded into the trims and 15" polished alloys rolling on literally brand new tires
anywho...........
heres what she looked like at the day i picked her up


after busting my ass for a weekend, she then looked like this (all by hand)

on the bright side i think my efforts payed off

interior shots (everything was already there)







bout a year later she was still pretty much the same just cleaner






now ive started adding tid bits here and there

pedals for wankers such as myself


blue LED cluster lights (i hate wiring so went the T10 replacements)

i also swapped both the interior and boot lights to blue LED i havent got picks yet coz ..... well to be honest i cbf and everytime i remember its day light

died the carpet inserts on door trims and quatre trims

its hard to tell from the pics but they are alot lighter and alot nicer

blacked out those hidious side indecators



Also managed to get all my windows re-tinted darkest legal (no idea what %) completely free through a mate as the hidious 80's blue stuff was bubbled up so much in the rear it was like trying to see through a bottle of blue powerade someone had just farted in
and replaced my EXTREMELY rusted sunroof, when i pulled th seal off it literally crumbled. I got the other sunroof from the shit celi i bout, took it back to metal and got rid of almost all rust then just rust converted it and primed the absoulte fuck out of it at work. Replaced the seal but the ones the dipshits from yoyota gave me is half the width so at the moment im using the old one that i soaked in boiling water and gunwash, seams to be holding out quite nicely so far. as for the other celi im thinking of racing it (after i strip the engine and see why it runs like ass) so im thinking i might just get a panel thats a close fit and mig it and bog it

ive been doing some painting in the engine bay. the car when finished is going to be a titanium grey with silver and charcoal flake keeping with this. iv painted things silver and charcoal

i still need to do the extractors and maybe the inlet manifold (if i can be fuckd). havent decided if the extractors should be silver or charcoal im thinking silver.

This is what im most happy bout on monday these arrived

YAY super lows haha, they wont be put in for probably another few weeks as im still figuring some stuff out about what shocks im going with. The old mans pushing me towards Konis but dosh is tight despite having a 2nd job, figure i may aswell get a wheel alignment and replace all the bushes while im at it. Also later this week rolling and pumping the guards at work.

i will be painting the lettering silver just havnt had time yet between 2 jobs and other side projects but it will get done lol
yesterday i received my trd oil cap from ebay i know its a bit of a toss but its really sets the rocker covers off
also have gotten dad to call up some of his contacts for shocks looks like im goin konis but need to work some things out first
and next week after work some time will be rolling the guards and possibly the quarters (if i can be fucked as they dont really need it)
also on the cards is fabbing up a scrape plate for the exhaust as 1 section sits fairly low and not sure how il go yet and as my car mats do nothing but jam up the pedals im going to put either polished alloy or checker plate inserts in the floor. The polished is my preference but i can get the checker plate basically free and yes real checker plate not the gay fake shit you get from super cheap
anywayz more updates should be coming soon and as always more pics hehe

hello all not alot to report on but still thought id chime in.
I painted the Extractors today they came up fairly well, not as good as i hoped but that can always be fixed
Also on the way i have diamond cut headlights with the H4's coming coz one they look alot nicer but also my lights are that crap i may aswell stick candles to the front of my car.
Also i have something else in the works but not 100% certain if itl happen, depends on a couple of things. if it does i wont reveal til its done hehe.
shocks are stil pending on finances but hopefully soon. anyway heres the engine bay as it sits right now (needs a clean)


the oil caps on to looks alot better with that alone

and just for comparison heres the old look


either way you look at it, its still missing a turbo owell in another 4 years when im allowed one maybe

you just get them from ebay. theres a whole heap of diferent companys selling the same thing at different prices. the cheapest i found i think it was $55 including shipping but read the print carefully coz some dont come with the globes and some are projectors wich iv heard with out a HID conversion they crap.

so today i was looking at my tailights and how they looks so ld and hazy and how even after goin at them with cutters and polish they still looked average. so i thought fuck it time to sand the bitches back. I also removed all the bubbled up codes and symbols on them (sick of cutters getting stuck in them).

imo they look alot better, not entirely sure on the legallity of removing all the part numbers and what not from the lights, but hey does anyone care? i know i dont

ok on the weekend i picked up the ssv rear bar thanks to jaileong


its got a couple of small cracks in it but nothing a little bog cant fix. am trying organise matching sideskirts. not sure that i want the front of the kit or not being fibreglass and the fact im going suplows i know im just gonna end up cracking it. im thinking either leave the front stock and paint the lip or maybe even go an alltrac front (dont mean to copy you jay-dee). also if anyone remembers i said i had a surprise that wasnt sure if itd happen. Well im doing it and should be ready in a couple of weeks tops, possibly even a week depending on how lazy i wanna be.

firtsyly i would like to say hahaha about the rear bar, lol i just got lucky enough to get in 1st. Theres alot more than just one crack that needs to be fixed though.
with the engine bay, i usually do tire shine all the hoses n shit, just that after all the painting i couldnt be fucked doing a detail lol and when the cars resprayed the plan is to pull the motor so il paint the manfold and the cam cover then.
for the headlights just do a generic search sometimes i find them sometimes i dont, just make sure they actually come with the globes and look at a few coz some are alot more expensive than others with the shipping
as for the secret project, all shall be revealed in 2 weeks???? iv been slack and theres a transport issue (plus its nothing that hasnt been done before)
as for the egr, its connected just mounted at the bottom of the extractors they just did it that way for whatever reason when i had the exhuast quietened. As for the exuast tip, i like the shape just want it bigger. i havent done anything about it coz i want to atract as less attention as possible. with the note of mine plus a big fuck off tip its a field day with cops plus the fact im not even allowed the exhaust on my p's. so for the time being it shall stay the same.
and fair enough i cant have your bar. but hows about you tell me where you live and park the car in the street :twisted: hehehe just joking. plus XR pilot is considering getting fibreglass cpies of his made (fingers crossed)

hahaha no not the tip. im not allowed the whole exhaust syetem. Under the new laws im not allowed ANY modifactions to enhance performance what so ever. what i meant in regards to the tip was, by keeping the smaller tip its less obvious to cops where the exhaust noise is coming from. if i was to put a big tip on it they would instantly realise who it is. did that make more sense haha
