  1. A good friend of mine has that car and I had an oportunity to flog it around an AutoX course last year, not all that great - kinda heavy and you cant boost it past stock or you'll blow it up, but it does come with an impressive list of factory installed parts. I raced him in the halftrac a few times and smoked him good and proper, he has some goodies this year but Im back to N/A so we will never know if he can beat me - still the undisputed champ

Ford Focus RS is a damn fine fwd turbo hatch, with its trick LSD it grips like mad, not as sweet as a Integra R or VW corrado but it is a real fun tool.

Not massivly keen on New mini's as I find the ride really stiff and the traction from tight corners is compromised.

    Other fave FWD cars.

    Peugeot 306 S-16,
    Renault 5 GT turbo,
    Seat Ibiza Curpra Type R
    Peugeuot 205 GTi 1.6 / or 1.9

Renault 21 turbo, ugly as sin, but 180bhp and 4 door fast fun.

I had a 1975 mini with a trick N/A 1380cc engine with coliover suspension and close ratio box, on twisties it was just crazy, could carry sooo much speed through the corner.

Also I have really good memories of Std Ford Focus 2.0, not mega quick, but a really well rounded package with great handling and ride, and cappable both on track and road.

    Worst FWD cars

VW golf mk 4, soggy soggy soggy,
Rover 800, understeer at every corner and steering that was only just in touch with the front wheels.
Also Mazda 3 new shape, the car IMO was too soft and would suffer really bad inital roll, then stiffen, then breakaway, just way to unpredicaable.

All Uk cars, not driven any FWD aussie or Yanks

The Oldsmobile Toronado. V8, front wheel drive. hahaha, what the hell would possess them to do that? Apart from being GM...
Not really sporty, but hey, it is front wheel drive.

I would imagine the handling would suck with that thing.

Yeah, I'm sure it understeers like crazy, and torque steer would be a bitch.

oh man the tourque steer would make you crash everytime you planted it hahaha and there would be NO accelerating until you well out of corners what so ever hahaha basically just repeated you guys ^^^ just stressing the matter!

what a crazy idea to make a car such as that!

definately not an aussie thing! lol

Good FWD car's that I've tested out at the various car lot's I service...

I enjoy the Mazda 3's, they drive nice.

I hate the new civic's, the clutch feel's like it would take a feather to push down, I'm not into that.

    I hate anything chrysler.

Toyota Camry's, are actually pretty nice...

    There's not too many new car's I like... I still want a 7th gen eventually! :D

You just need to learn how to use an e-brake. FWD DRIFT those corner's bitch! haha

    I was a pro at drifting my FWD sunbird...mostly because I didn't care if I crashed/wrecked/blew up that car...which ultimately, blew a h/g, haha

hahahaha, oh man, a friend of mine has a Dodge 600. It's turbocharged, but thats like putting whipped cream on a turd. We tried drifting it one time in the school parking lot at midnight...terrifying. There was a shallow ditch running through the middle of the lot, and, well...we hit that sideways. Damn near flipped the car.

Alltracs have a pretty big front end power bias if I remember. So yeah, I don't see that working.

Really? I swear I've read that it's more like 60/40 unless you lock the center diff, in which case it is 50/50.

But time and money and skill say no way jose at present.!!

Torque steer = no fun in pouring rain!!! could not beat a rice puddin in my modded 5 tub when it was wet!
