Hey guys the more I look at the Scion Tc, the more it's looking like my next performance car purchase. Just think add on the TRD suspension package, TRD cold air intake with factory supercharger, TRD catback exhaust, and of coarse the TRD big brake kit, and wolla you've got a killer ride with a total factory warranty. This sounds like a no brainer to me, but then again I'm getting old and kinda like somebody else fixing my f...ups.

Hey, I think the TC is a great choice if you want the dealer support and warranty items..I have seen a few examples of Turbocharged ones, and made good whp on stock internals....The power is there.

Now i think the chassis might hold you back....I have not driven one, but i have heard they arent the best around the track.
Again this is he said /she said but its from research i have done, so i guess your taking my word..
Seems like your hardcore into track so i just wanted to bring that up, i hope to learn alot from you bout the 4G which i think will outhandle the TC.....

Hey I ran into Chris Rado last year at Road Atlanta, he normally races a Tc dragcar making over 1000 hp, but was running a street version in the Time Attack event that weekend. This car was equipt with a turbo of his own design, which he claimed to be making around 250 hp. I didn't really check out his suspension setup, but his lap times were equal to the pole times set at the last Speed World-Challenge race there by a very well equipt Acura TSX. I think that the TRD suspension package for the Tc would be a very good starting point toward making this car a killer track car. My only fear is the same as with my '87 GTS, it's weight can overwhelm it's brakes very fast, unless larger rotors and calipers are used along with big brake ducts.

the TC are very nice and i do a lot of work on them. i would recommend looking at the entire hotchkis (sp?) kit for it.

Hey man thats the most popular Scion in the US and a top seller in Japan along side Nissans Cube. It takes time, but they grow on you, this next version coming out soon, will be powered by same 2.4 as in the tC.

ugggghhh! Who likes looking in the rearview mirror to see that look on honda drivers faces......when a 21 year old celica flys past them, priceless. They wish. you can see it on their face.

  16. I've driven almost every car ever sold on N/A shores from the late 80's onward. During my carrier from car detailer, mechanic, jockey, sales, even worked in a wrecking yard...so from my personal experience my top 3 FWD cars are as follows:

    Corrado G60
    Mini Cooper S
    Integra Type R

The aftermarket support for the two later cars is saturated with more parts than you can shake a stick at. Stock for stock, I feel this is the order they belong in for best HANDLEING FI FWD - but Im biased towards the Corrado seeing how I own one as well :D I only wish the Celica could handle as good as any one of these cars!

The Integra Type R was an absolute beast of a FWD. Honda messed up big when they stopped importing the Type Rs here. Only Hondas worth a damn.

yea the xb's are ugly as hell but my ex gf had one and it is hella roomy and comfortable..But the xb/xa is the ONLY reason i have the aftermarket i do for my lil echo so i cant hate them that much.

I dislike the Xb, the Xa I don't mind, but the Tc....I'm torn. I hate it to death because it killed the Celica, but at the same time.....it is nice looking, and supposedly handles well, and it's pretty quick.....But it killed the Celica....(I argue with myself a lot. Outloud, usually)
