just doing a bump for installing......did a test fitment on the wheels.....looks good waiting on the coilovers to get here, waiting for the person who has them now is a pain as i cant install till he gets here.. engine stayed in the car due to an asshole who canceled on me at the last moment and he had the cherry picker....what a dick....anyways uploading some pics but it will have to wait a bit
well guys shes on the ground..... have a nasty groan coming from somewhere, brakes need a bad bleeding again......shes more troaty for sure shes lower than i expected and i didnt have to touch a thing.... heres some pics but well have to get better ones tomorrow the wheels look good.....fitment looks and sounds good tonight...gonna recheck EVERYTHING tomorrow and then have her towed to firestone for an alignment......still waiting on my tail lights at the moment
more pics.....shes at the alignment shop at the moment. thats how far i had to HAND file to get the bolt to fit. headed to the shop via flatbed after shop shes headed to another shop to FINALLY fix the dent/rust spot on her ass end.... more coming.
im diggin the offset and definitely the low. was the that the only modification you had to do to get megans to fit?
Yes, any rear wheel that fills those rear guards is a better look on a Celica.PS: always preferred the simpler front and rear styling of the 86-89
yes the megans are damn near bolt on except that little bit of modding...... brakes are shot......having the shop do the rear cylinders due to stripped bolts. hopefully shell be done today shop yesterday tore my new rack boot....when they did the alignment they tightened down the drivers side tie rod and twisted the boot so when i went to turn.....rip.....gonna head back to get them to fix it.
with the rear interior out it's literally 4 bolts to take off the bumper. cross your fingers there isn't a dent or more rust hiding behind the bumper... either way it looks good!
While you have it off the car, consider colour matching the black rear number plate holder/surround plastics
It's the metal strips that hold the plastic bumper cover to the steel bumper that I find are usually rusted to pieces.
Mine was done by the dealer. They heard about the white lightning concept, so they tried to pre-empt that by whiting out the black higights on a dealer/demo car that was used for dress up kits and ruined.I spent a while putting it back to original, but then went half way back to the white out look.
Came out really good! Different offset on front and rear rims is the way to go on a T16, everyone should have it that way
