ordered some goodies Megan coil-overs both front control arms with bushings both front axles new tie rods (already have the new rack and pinion) new drag dr41 pure white (15x7 10 offset for rear / 15x7 40 offset for front) new extended tuner NRG lugs in blue new autopal head lamps new 10k hid kit still have to get 195/55/15 tires and a exotic alignment....
huh? 10k is dimmer than 8k. actually 10k (2000-2200 lumens) is dimmer than halogen (ranges from 1500-2300 lumens) rofl... no offense, but speakin the truth: -1 for ricey looks > safety.
i like hid's....and i see great....i like the blue look....i dont care if its ricy........ -1 on your opinion > my car lol
the only opinion i mentioned was that it was ricey. the rest of what i said are simply facts. and here's more facts, you think you see great because the eye notices the color blue better than white, but what you SEE WITH IT is a different story. especially with PNW weather, you should also know that blue reflects off of water more, so while you see the rain better, you don't see what's important, the road. interesting how it works huh. and it's not about me telling you what to put in your car, but this is a forum, we're here to educate each other.
that was my reason for changing to 6000K HID's in my previous car. If I buy new HID's for the current cars it will be 6000K again. You definately see more with it than with 8000K. But HID is thumbs up anyhow
take a chill pill marc. wasnt making too much fun or arguments......i like 6k hid but i wanna see the difference for myself in the 8k......ive ran 6k for years and i like em.......
been getting stuff in the mail waiting on a few other parts.......like a messed up axle, coilovers got canceled so i have to order them again. finally ordered my rims, heres a sample pic of the rims, hopefully they show up on monday. sizes are front 15x7/40 w/ 185/55/15 tires back 15x7/10 w/ 185/55/15 tires picked up the tires today for 300 cash.....stored them at a buddys shop for the time being i will be having an install weekend....if anyone wants to help...lol picking up a new dizzy, timing belt, water pump....etc in the next few days
really guys...not a single new comment........where is everyone at these days?, seems like were losing the main players left and right
This may be kinda late, but how did you work the new shifter on the automatic? Ive been thinking about doing the same thing to mine shortening the actual shifter so its not constantly in the way.
heres the thing about the auto stick....your stuck with it unless you can find a shorter stick from another model.....the way that it goes on the shifter is weird....you can not use the spring loaded gear selector but then youll run into "whoops i just put it in reverse"... hit the local yard if you can and strip one down.....its easy, i had to cut the overdrive wires and i hid the switch under the center console, i leave it on all the time anyways....you can always run it somewhere else too. i had to dremel alot of material away to get the new shifter to slid "pounded on is another way to look at it" on. it now wont come off and im thinking of doing another one. the stick is long anyways due to the gear selector spring, you must use it for safety wise and you'd be stupid not to as thats a good way to lose a tranny real quick. you can pm me your number or something and we can talk a little more in detail about it.....i shouldve done a write up or something as it does look really nice.
ordered another 500 dollars worth of parts........and forgot to get the motor mounts. headed back now to get them. INSTALL WEEKEND IS THIS FRIDAY/ SATURDAY/ SUNDAY if your close by and wanna lend a hand shoot me an email im doing the work in canby oregon.
Awesome rims are awesome ::drool5 Are they going on this weekend too? :munch I'd love to come over and help install your new toys, but I'm approximately 7700 miles away, lol...
