if i didnt read that they were aftermarket fogs, i woulda thought they were oem! nice find! and doing some mcguyver shit is awesome
just a small update, some late summer meets with the local vancouver friends: street kills: my friend's acura 1.6EL with every suspension mod you can think of + intake/exhaust. all was even til 4th gear
i used the existing tabs by drilling a vertical line on the shelf where they go; then put nuts in the recessed area under the two bars with a screwbolt going through the top. it'll never come apart basically. to make it smooth i put an extra strip of leather across the tabs/screws up top. here's the pic of the tabs. bolts not on yet, but i edited the pic to show where I put them
it's been a while, but the car has gone through an oil pump/water pump/timing belt. the old (and original toyota aisin) one seized on it's own bearings, but all is good. also, winter tires on the stock wheels for the fronts. it's a great winter beast. here are some pics after vancouver's first major snowstorm:
getting ready for spring meets/cruises, so i got my car a present: just some quick pics, but they're powdercoated gold 7th gen wheels 16x7 on 205/50/16 tires they look like they would just clear the rear strut towers, but i've got them on 25mm spacers. it does rub as i have my right rear quarter panel not rolled yet, but once i do it will be flush, with maybe a finger gap between the tire and the panel. i'm gonna run my base model 7th gen wheels for winter tires and these for summers. i'm hoping on no more snow for the rest of winter so i can just keep these on.
