just to clairify they dont check anything here, no egr test, timing ect. If you want taht checked they charge you a diagnostic free. THey may look to see if there is an egr but besides that they just sniff the exhaust gases. Taking it in tomorro and if everything is as planned should have a nice big pass

 

FAIL 33 HC, .03 CO and 1600 Nox. going to retard the timing tomorro to like 5 degree and see what happens

 

hey rye what numbers did your car put out? HC CO and NOx, I might be able to help you, also let me know if you have done any part replacement

HC= 38 limit 64
CO% = .02 limit .35
NOx= 1098 limit 750

ERRRRRRR, what was timing retarted to 1 degree, its going in tomorro and im putting it into the negatives, for the record, rearding timing WILL 100% Reduce Nox and if its likly running a little lean like me will not increase HC or CO

So tomorro ill retard to the max and I put a few liters of 91 into my 87 octane for like a 88.5 octane mix, hopefully also dropping nox slightly.

ya sorry only had a sec to write a message, timing set to -2 degrees I passed! Nox was liek 350 but HC was 64, exactly on the limit! good luck or what. If I can pass anyone can! 8 etests total, what BS. The guys at the shop all started to dance when it passed, it was quite the sceen

 

eather a car passes fine, like 90% of new, or they try to force old cars off the road with unrealistic numbers, the old ford explorers have stricter emssions than our celicas ! lol what a totaly BS scam. If you want some help getting your ceica past emissions I can probaby help you get it in a few tests now that ive been the guinnie pig
