sad to see it go, but with three kids it is just getting worse sitting in my driveway. this was a really fun car, and i am sad to see it go. It is a 88 GTS with 230k miles on it. i rebuilt the engine at around 190k, but it has been sitting long enough that it will now no longer start. I temporarily swapped in a spare battery and it turns over, but might have a fuel issue. I may see if i can fix it. the biggest issue is the rust that is getting rather serious lately. you can see pretty clearly in the pictures where the problems are on the drivers side. It was repainted about 10 years ago, but it is pretty faded now. around the same time, i installed Whiteline sway bars front and rear, whiteline poly bushings everywhere I could (front control arms, sway bar links, rear control arms, etc.) Kosei wheels, Koni adjustable shocks and Eibach springs, braided lines, and EBC brake pads. I don't think a lot of these parts are available any longer. I am not firm on price, so shoot me an offer if you are interested. Also, I have the OEM wheels and believe i have a replacement brake booster too.

The car is in sykesville MD. Sorry meant to include that.

By the way, the car has the Whiteline camber bolts and caster increase bushings as well.

I could use another car like that, what's your time table for trying to have it sold?

I am in no real hurry. it's just taking up space. the longer it sits, the closer I might get to turning it into a GRM $2014 challenge car.

I would definitely like to make an offer, but will need to consult the COO and Financial Officer for the race team about it, you know Wife has final say!! LOL.......

Hey the Wife seemed very interested in the car, her only concern was the distance for picking it up. Do you have any way to transport to maybe a midway location? If so, I think we could work out a deal, if not I would just have to twist her arm a little more on making a trip up there!!

If Mr. Bob does not buy the whole car, are you looking into parting it out? I could use your HVAC controls, and maybe your whole black interior, shocks and struts...

Hey burakol, I'm picking up the car this weekend, but if you'll give me a list of parts your looking for, I'm sure we could work something out. I noticed you where inquiring about the struts and shocks, that's one of the main reasons I'm buying the car. I do have a set of KYB AGXs (for the front right now) if you are interested, was using them for my next set of custom coil-overs, but really want the Konis!

I will be stripping this car and moving most everything over to my '86 GT chassis, since this has always been my goal since I started my original build! Interior, glass, switches, and many other items will be available, you might just need to make a road trip and come on out to the coast for a visit......

Are you using the tranny from the new car?

Probably not, I'll need one from either a GT or 5SFE powered car to relocate the starter. I've got a JDM tranny for now with starter already re-located.

So you will need the pedal cluster with clutch master cylinder, lines/hose, and the hydraulic clutch release, along with the tranny? I will set aside all the pieces you would need, and you could just come get it when your ready to do the swap.

Not sure about the ECU, but you might need the mounts. Maybe someone else here who has done this swap, will know for sure!

Found some info on stigs page! I will need the mounts and apparently the flywheel and bolts from the donor car and I assume the ECU as well. http://www.st162.net/forum/showthre...on-what-s-needed&p=54627&viewfull=1#post54627

Also just to put this out there, when me and my dad come down, could you help us install it? We have never done anything like this before and would LOVE some help and guidance!

    Mr. Bob,

I'm mostly interested in the black interior pieces... pretty much all black stuff that I can get to swap my red interior...

I can do away with the suspension as I'm already on BG springs... if you are willing to let go of the AGX, then I may consider it for future use... I hope you have some storage space since I cannot plan on driving down there yet... Oh, and ar eyou also planning on using the HVAC controls?

burakol, yeah I just added a storage barn a few months ago just for Celica parts, I will have room, but will just need to bag up all screws and plastic plugs. I can put several items aside that you might be interested in.

spiedr0722, I can put together some of the items you need from this car, may not can give up all since my GT chassis has different half shaft/cv axels. We can see what I have when I'm done, and check with our local Pick-And-Pull if need be.
