3rd. and not really. completely different painting system this time

 

oh I see. there wasn't much. every fender needed repair from me hammering the inner panels. that was about it.

 

and i'm changing all the aero work (don't like it) and plasti dipping the whole car.

i also just ordered 15x9 wheels! should be beast. should i paint them blue or black? i'm undecided on that part.

and i'm going to lighten the chassis a bit more while i'm at it. stay tuned!

 

i didn't realize the new wheels have a polished lip. so i won't be changing the color on them any time soon.
i just redid the front end. much nicer.
we are going to plastidip the whole car as well in a couple weeks.

 

these WILL fit.

 

alignment time. also working on the rear wing. i think i like the single wing.

 

sorry i don't have a stock lip.

so i changed the wheels and the alignment. wheels...good. alignment...bad. -2 degrees of camber is rubbish in my car. i'm going back to -1.5 all around. i can't drive the car in a straight line. and accelerating in a straight line is asking for an accident.

so hopefully tomorrow or later in the week i'll get the car in the shop and redo the alignment. i'm curious if the new wheel center line offset is affecting the camber settings. on a truely flat ground i can visibly see the outer edge of the tire is not contacting the ground.

i'm also thinking of reverse mounting the front pillow ball mounts so i can get more caster in the car. that or slotting the holes out...might do that first. i'll follow through with more later guys.

 

thanks guys! i like them so much i ordered another set. djsteve bought all my black wheels for his (which sadly had an engine let go while on the road coarse).

update:
re-aligned and setup.
removed front sway bar (dont need it)
removed front strut brace (can't use it now) i will make a new one out of a stock one. i just need to get a stock one now to chop up.
softened the rear shocks
new alignment specs

camber -1.6 all 4 wheels
front toe 0
rear toe +0.20
front caster...4.0!!!! that's right. i got 4 degrees out of it. without making control arms you cannot get anymore. i'm very happy with this set up.

i just ordered another set of these wheels and 2 more slicks. so i'll have 15x9 wheels with all my tires. 2254515 bfg rivals for the street and 245/580r15r80 slicks for the track. i'm super excited (and broke) now!
