i've already read the thread here:
    http://www.st162.net/forum/showthread.php?4794-How-do-you-quot-Burp-quot-the-cooling-system-(3S-GE)

well, i don't have a 3sge as you all should know by now. it should be the same concept as its still the same family. but, unlike vidcat, I'm not losing any performance when the temperature spikes. i initially thought it was ok at first, but now that more time has passed, i've noticed that its staying maxed out for longer periods and not staying cool for as long either. i've replaced my thermostat once since i've had i and the water temp sensor as well. and after reading the thread above, it can be either one of those. it can also even be my radiator cap. I'm not sure. that is way I'm consulting the experts. in this case, you guys. so, any advise or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. thanks a million!

and should i also go as far as replacing EVERYTHING like vidcat did with the radiator, thermostat, and the efi sensor?......i don't know

Thermostat is the easiest and cheapest part to start with.

have you burpped your system? you could have a air bubble in there helping with this problem

yea, hopefully i didnt get a crappy part from when i did it last time.

yea, i believe i did when i did the thermostat. that the thing we do when we change out the thermostat right? i used the spill-proof tool that connects to the radiator and filled it with coolant and water. waited for as much bubbles to get out as possible....

If you squeeze the hoses a few times there is no need to "burp" anything

    Is it losing water?
    Antifreeze?
    Are the fans working properly?

Kev, my advice is to put in rad flush for a day or two, then pull off ALL the hoses and flush everything with a hose in both directions

will be sure to do that. but wont the thermostat block the water from going in?

I had a similar problem with mine a while ago. It kept overheating and I couldnt figure out what it was. I finally noticed that my fans wasnt kicking on at all, so I hotwired it to stay on constantly and it hasnt overheated since. This problem plauged me for weeks, and only took me 2 mins to fix once i noticed my fan wasnt working. I still havn't figure out why the fan wasnt working. I think it was a bad relay.

yeah just squeeze the hoses a few times and it forces any bubbles out.....

ive done this before on a different car......i stuck a hose in the cap and turned it on and let it run spilling everything on the ground so make sure your in a gravel area or something.......flushed it right out.....but yes the biggest question is ? are your fans turning on?

Kev you need to pull the thermostat anyway and check in some boiling water, it could be sticking
