Last night I organised custom plates. It's pretty cool how you can order one at 372mm x 135mm and than the other at 372mm x 100mm. Should go well with the car, and the number plate on the front should fit exactly the width of the front bumper with no over hang! :)

Thought I would do an update of the work I did today.. 10hrs of work on the car I did today.. Sore back, and little bit sun burnt :( hahaha.

So I did a big engine degrease, 3 bottles of the stuff I went through. Jacked the celi up, crawled under and started spraying, working my way up. At that time the glasses I was wearing helped out a bit, would be a pain having degreaser in my eyes while laying under the car.. Took some pics of it before I did it too..

Also washed the car twice after the degrease, and got it ready to apply the rust compound on some little rust dots I have on the bonnet, and a couple of other spots in the car.. Best to catch rust ASAP, otherwise your in for a hell of a lot more work, than you would want.. Plus I would rather spend my time working on the car instead of un-rusting it.. It looks pretty painfull from the celi's I've seen pictures of through here... Would like to know if there's some type of way of not getting rust, would be GREAT!

After that got the Gumption out and a tooth brush and started on the mags.. Cleaned all the little grooves!.. Love it when you finish the tires, they turn out so white! Gumption is an awesome cleaning tool.. Also did the muffler, takes the black off it so easily!

Then I took to the engine bay.. Still used my trusty tooth brush and a sponge.. haha.. Basically spent the rest of the afternoon cleaning all the dirt and grease the degreaser didn't get, but wow, such a HUGE difference when the engine bay is sparkling.. hahah

Hope every one enjoys the pics..

So here's the finished result of giving the celi a nice clean.. Took the bonnet off, and scrubbed all the black off of it... finished off cleaning the engine bay, and got some red/ and black enamel engine bay paint and fixed up the missing paint on the head... Did it all with a fine paint brush.. And polish.. drives so nice atm too..

very nice manm, apart from the sunroof it's a dead ringer for my car when i got it years ago. Now trying to get back to the state you have!

also had the driveline probs, most people here have, doing it all once seems to do the trick tho :)

i'd like to do a similar sub/amp install in the back, looks pretty neat

    good stuff!

@CelicaSteve, haha thanks, I though it would be a good idea to go right through it and find any hidden issues I might have to deal with, all of the engine grease etc covers alot of stuff which can be a problem later on, plus I can show it off hahaha.

@kevinkyang thanks for the advise, I'll see if I can find him. Would you know his user name on the site?

Thinking this is going to be the dial I might see if I can get made up.. The people that make it think that they can get the whole dial to glow, hopefully a blue sort of colour. In the day time, should look really good as well...

So after having some pretty major oil leeks, and replacing the rocker cover gaskets, I thought I would buy the first piece of a ssv front bumper for my car.. The other awesome thing is, they said that it would take about 3-4 days to do the mould, but as it turns out, there was stock sitting in there ready to go.. So should be shipping to me very soon..

I know that a lot of people have fitted this kit so I'm just after some pointers in attaching it correctly, and neatly. But also what gear I will need to get.
