Hey guys my buddy is buying a vert shell. He is getting a 5SFE with the shell but intends to put the 5S is his SW20 MR2. Thus he has no need for the shell. From the pictures I have been show it seems to be in good shape. I'll know more probably monday and I should be able to get pictures for you guys. What I need to know is what a very shell is going for now. Hes not looking to strike gold on the shell but hes no dummy either. Please let me know if your interested and ball park range (high-low) you would be willing to pay for a rolling shell.
When my vert threw a rod I sold it for $300. The top was bad the engine was obviously bad, the trans was bad, but the body was excelent. No rust and no dents. I sold it to a guy who had a rusted out vert. He was going to swap the engine from his into mine. Unless you can find a buyer with a good engine and bad shell like I did then I wouldnt say more than 200 or whatever scrap is on it.
