Toytuner's 88 Alltrac "Vicious1" So i figured i would revamp this and show everyone one the build from the day she came home to the day she rolled out a complete vehicle. So here we go! Enjoy! 8) Here she is on Day 1, no motor or tranny. THe build *funny footnote, this was my first alltrac, i bought her with no title no motor and no tranny, she donated ALOT of parts. moving on... June 12, 2012 So i hope you guys enjoyed all the pics. Ever since i got into celicas at 14years old i have loved the 4th gen, it was my first celica and will always be my number 1 choice. Since the days of celica.net i had always dreamed of owning a st165. I started out with a lowly 86gt with a 3/4 custom cam and a mild grind crank, to a 88GTS that was the cleanest GTS around. Then in april of 2007 i bought my trac, disassembled and filled with mice. I spent uncounted hours and sleepless nights, constantly re-learning everything i knew about the 4th gen through this car. I battled missing parts and bolts, to the uphill climb of removing the tranny from the engine and restoring a hacked harness. Without the help from you guys here this car would not be what it is today and i thank you all greatly for that! Mafix you especially helped me, without you this car wouldnt even run, you saved my ass so many times i lost count thank you very very much. Thanks again everybody for everything! -Nick
looking like alot of work went into her, good job! and you have a parts trac lol, id settle for any trac..... lmao
had a parts trac, i stripped her down to nothing but a shell and had her scrapped. It was a really sad day
you should have shippped her to the frozen north..i would have givin her a good home lol.. im used to bare shells nowadays...
now my alternator died! Im considering messing aroujd with a couple of turbos i have laying around, to make a hybrid. Ive got a 92 eclipse turbo and a few older Air Research turbos sitting on my bench.
i would recommend against all those turbos. the old a/r turbos are too small and heat worse then the ct26. the factory mitsu turbos are too damn small.
thanks mafix for the info. im trying to find a good replacement turbo if you have any recomendations. The wheels i have now are a 15in Borbet, not sure what the model is.
not a sales pitch but the street brawler kits are awesome. i don't have one but with everything that comes with it you can't go wrong.
duely noted mafix ive been looking at those for a while now, i might hit one up when tax season hits me.
Just an update: the trac is running good again, what i had diagnosed as a leaking intake mani gasket was actualy a leaking tvis actuator. So i ended buying a brand spanking new one from toyots, they quoted me 575.50 for the damn thing and i got it with my employee discount for 300 bucks. So she got slapped back together and runs like a champ minus the growling wheelbearing which is gonna have to be fixed now(damn car, fix something for something else to break) anyhow just thought i'd update. I bought an 85 Mr2 as well with only 77,380 miles on it for 400 bucks! The passenger fender is toast along with the headlight, but she runs awesome and was always toyota serviced, red coolant and all! I'll post some pics later on.
Just updated the Photos again, new stuff with the car includes. new wheels, new boost controller, new TRD wires and copper plugs. Talked to a lady today who wants to do my interior in black leather and red suede for $350.00!!! shes done some pretty nice work so i cant wait to drop the interior off with her in two weeks. Just bolted on a full stainless 3 in. exhaust. Shes boosting good and all she needs now is a fresh turbo rebuild and a new oil pan gasket which i noticed has a really slow class 1 leak.
so today i got a new exhaust installed for fathers day. 3 inch pipe from the header back and a single 14inch glasspack muffler to kill a little noise. She sounds mean as hell:reddevil, i will post some videos in the morning.
