    What about rustproofing the floor and coating it with truck-bed (ute, bakkie) liner?

    That way the carpet salt would have no effect?

    Best product for rust-proofing HANDS DOWN, is called POR15.

    Look it up. It is truly worth the cost and it performs every bit as well as they claim.

    Got it, used it, it has its limitations. It cannot be painted over easilly and breaks down under sunlight

    The rear differential at the top of the picture was covered in POR15. The
    driveshafts were just Tremclad (rustolium) paint and 3 coats of clear. We'll see
    which part holds up better.

    If I remember corectly Mafix did the underside of Nemisis with POR15.

    What about galvanising the entire body when it's repaired?,
    most of the rust is inside channels that can't be gotten into

    Great pics of the gutted interior. Yeah, those rear shock towers need to be checked, I've got trouble in my 89GTS....

    What year is your MA61? I"ve always and still want one of those, they"re even rarer than 162 in the UK.
