ok so i tried starting my celica(its a 4age 20v with a dr.tweak harness) today. It did start but only if the afm was held open and the fuel pump bridged. I have no engine codes apart from o2. I cant seem to figure it out.
I haven't tried yet but whats really puzzling me is that i have no tach or check engine light and i have the tach from my engine harness hooked up to my pin 16 "tach" in my 22 pin interior connector and my "w" from my ecu to the pin 13 in the same connector.
I honestly have nothing to offer as far as the tach goes. how long have you owned the car? when you first turn the key and all the lights in the cluster come on does the CEL come on then? if not then either the bulb is burnt out or the PO took it out like they did to me.
I've owned this car for one year already and i did the 20v swap in the summer before then everything worked fine. the only thing that does work on the gauges is the open door warning light.
