I'm 4 days away from buying either a ST185 setup, or a ST215 setup. I'm leaning toward the 215 setup right now due to cost (significantly cheaper than the 185, nearly 800 bux). Has anybody here done the 215 swap into a 162? I know someone who's done the 215 into a newer gen (think a 6th) but not into a 4th gen. 1zThp
ud prob get the money back on buying the 185 due to the savings of making the 215 engine fit. with the 3rd and 4th gen gte's theres alot more to do not as simple as a gen 1 or 2. There are things to worry about such as clearance on the crossmembers. Basically all wiring and ecu. Clearance on bonnet for WTA cooler witch is a problem changing in the 4th gens. The turbo and manifold are fixed. Front and rear mounts are different then previous gens and i vaguely remember hearing about PS lines being a bitch im sure theres more but cant remember.
