So my ABS has quit working since I did my ST205 swap. I'm curious if the ST165 ECU controlled the ABS or if there is a seperate ABS computer I haven't seen. I would really like to figure this out asap as it is supposed to start snowing soon! lol

So none of the wiring is through the ECU and Engine harness? I'm scratching my head on why the light is on after my swap. Does anyone know how to check the ABS codes on the 165? I've found how to do it on the 162 but the 165 is completely different supposedly.

Sorry, you'll have to dive into a BGB for the answers.
The engine ecu is a seperate entity, unless there is a feed from the motor?

as far as i know the gen 1 abs system that the st16x has are all stand alone.

Thanks for your help guys as always! I've not had a chance to wrench on the car at all lately.. I'm dropping the Fuel tank this week to replace the Fuel pump with a Walbro 255LPH so maybe I can tear into the ABS at the same time. I've noticed I've had some water in my back seat when it rains lately. Didnt ever notice it until now...maybe the ABS comp got wet and fried? :( Anyway I will let you guys know soon what I find!

EDIT-also not sure if it matters but my "BRAKE" light is on as well.. Checked the fluid level and it is fine...would both be on if it was a malfunction with the ABS?

Pulled abs code 11 tonight. Diagnostic steps say to check the relay... That's when I realized I dont think I swapped over my relay.... Lol I will have to find one now I guess

Question! Where is the ABS relay located? When I did my swap I had to get a relay box from the junk yard. I'm thinking it was from a non ABS car and didn't have the ABS relay if that is where it is supposed to be located. So my question is where the relay goes and if it goes in the relay box, would a non ABS car's relay box be wired for it?

EDIT- So I've done a bit more research. From what I can see the ABS FL should be where the blue arrow is in the picture below. I'm confused about this though because the section of the fuse box circled in green is from my car's original body wiring harness. NOTHING was changed in that FL box. yet there are no wires to it for my ABS. Is the diagram below for the 3s-ge/3s-fe? the spot for the FL is there but there are no wires going to it at all.

Here is a ST165 ABS diagram.. I would imagine there was something disconnected during the swap and simply needs to be reconnected.
There are some continuity and voltage test you can do from the ABS harness with multi meter listed on the top right of the diagram..
