hahaha that is awesome. i love the car more and more each day. finding out little things. like this weekend i found out i have a telescoping wheel and abs. i told my girlfriend and i got one of those "you act like it is the biggest thing in the world, but it is really nothing and I hate you for telling me this" kind of looks. :girl: anyways i am content. i am however trying to source the black trim that goes around the rear driver window and on to the hatch. mine keeps coming up. possibly take it from a junked car we will see. also the driver side mirror interior part. the black shroud or cover, whatever it is. it was broke and then fixed with double sided tape that no longer holds it up. so i am going to try and find that piece too. oh well, se la vee :wtg:
the telescopic wheel is something else.. i mean when you compare it to those of todays cars! my aunts lx470 automatically adjusts when the driver gets in the drivers seat according to the space the driver takes up, or at least thats what it looks like its doin.. lol.. on our celi's we gotta adjust it manually lol. nonethless its still telescopic!
thats not quite how the Lexus works but anyways, i agree for how old these cars are, they have some pretty sweet stuff and the best part is that most of it will work forever because its on a Toyota!
For its day... the alltrac's were the absolute shit... a 24k sports car... that today would amount to a 38k sports car!? (THATS LIKE A BASE MODEL CORVETTE!) The seating, the stereo, the climate control! ALL HIGH LUXURY OUT FITTINGS! Toyota had the golden years late 80's early 90's (and for the supra... mid 90's)
well I have not updated this in over a year. very sad. but I have done a few minor things to it like got a k&n drop in air filter, cleaned off some of the gunked up oil on the tranny and around the dizzy cap, new plugs and a new stereo, with new infinity front speakers. some updated pics to come when the rain stops.
oh and i forgot, i am in the process of removing the "side skirt" and front lip as well as the mud guards. the lip is completely fubared and the "sideskirts" i think are just in the way with the mud guards really. I know it won't look pretty, but at least it will be off. ahahaha. future plans are to have the car resprayed possibly black or a dark blue pearl mica. we will see.
some new shots. nothing pretty, but you can see the eye candy! i also got a used set of valve covers that I am going to sand and spray. the rear valve cover is my biggest oil leak. utter blasphemy. i was also talking to my shop prof. about my weird idle and dying issues and he said it may be related to a throttle body issue. so we will see about swapping that out. will try to keep this a little more updated!
hahaha whoever owned the car before me decided to do a shitty paint job. it comes off when I wash. i get maroon puddles between the spoiler and glass on the hatch. so sad. it will be repainted...one day!
true...might even be a little more aero looking, but still, the luxury of power folding...ah! makes a grown man cry you know?
Want to trade? I have an extra pair of euro mirrors. But not power folding. Manual folding. Powered mirror settings only
I wish you told me your didn't have the rear decals, I would've sent you those instead of/or with the 2.0's -K
Hey I think im having that same issue. I idle really low sometimes. And sometimes ill die. But its my fuel pump. You should check that too. Cause I know when im sitting for awhile. I can hear it whine like crazy and that's when I start to die. Just giving a suggestion. Hope you get it fixed soon.
