    so I got a few pics of "brandy" up here. I call her "brandy" because I feel like I need a drink every time I see her to make her look better. I swear this is the only maroon/maroon one I have ever seen. My girlfriend hates it because of the color. I don't mind as much. anyways enjoy..."BRANDY"! :lol:

    nice car man, looks like it has been well taken care of by someone. super clean inside and out and not bad mileage either. hope it works out better then your other 5!? toyotas lol

    thanks. this one should hold me for a while. averaging 1.75 cars a year probably isnt too healthy for my checkbook. i like this car a lot. only things that bother me are the 18 year old shakes...rattles...and rolls!

    ya i cant imagine having that many cars in such a short time... but i guess it would be nice in the sense you are constantly driving a different car haha. the shakes rattles and rolls of the car are the best part, but if you insist you can just get some new parts. If it makes you feel any better mine doesn't have any cup holders... but thats gunna change as soon as i find one haha coffee hurts when you spill it on yourself.

    haha yeah the cup holders are unique to say the least. hard time driving comfy. but its good enough. what did you trade your red interior for? i am checking to see bout possibly replacing the cloth seats for leather. now that i have a car with working ac, i am interested in leather seats again. funny how that worked.

    must be unless he took the rear wiper arm motor out of an 89

    A quick glance at the back of one and you should easily be able to tell 86-87, 88, or 89 of any country celica (as long as its stock) :p

    i see the difference b/w the 86/87 to 88/89.. but what's the difference between 88 and 89?

    yup it is an 89. no other years have the rear wiper? its a great car! got it at a dealership in san jose. had to play some hardball to get it to a decent price...plus some fibbing about the clutch. but it worked out. $2400 out the door. damn taxes and fees add up. bitches! more pics to come. gunna wash and clean this weekend. take out the radio that came with no faceplate and see if i can maybe source one before i buy a new one. its working out good so far.

    hahaha i am in the process. i found some nice looking einkeis i think. i was cheking springs and shocks. i came across eibach and koni yellows. close 900 for all four. wonder if its coilovers or not. im trying to find an exhaust. cant come up with anything. suggestions? anyone have dual exhausts going on? i almost broke the damn cup holders the other day. :eek:

    its not that the others didnt have the rear wiper, it was the position it was in. 89's had it in the postion you see on your car and mine as well. 88's had it positioned lower. thanks to letze for making it clear!

    my cupholders are still intact.. its the cover thats broken lol

    ah i see. kinda interesting. my cupholders are still good. just came close is all. kind of a bitch to take out of the top.

    My GTS is red/red too, sr5. Got the cupholders too. I love 89 wheels, and the shift-knob. Great looking Celica man.

    My 86 GTS has the rear wiper in the 89 position. But the motor was probably swapped at some point.
