Hey guys, ok so basically my problem is that any time it's moist/wet/raining outside, my car doesn't start. No spark. I removed the distrib. cap and the points were slightly rusty, confirming that there was moisture in the cap. Also whenever I would eventually get the car started when it's wet, it'll drive fine, except if i give too much gas it will choke the engine and almost stall. But after about half an hour of the car being running, it works absolutely perfect and doesn't choke anymore. I've been working for a few days on this, so I figured I'd ask you guys..............(or Mafix lol)

PS. the plugs and wires are fine, fuel pump is fine, fuel filter is fine.

i would test your whole ignition system if i were you, like the coil, test the pick ups in the dist, and check the igniter, make sure its good and grounded. as for the stumbling problem test your tps sensor, and testing the maf probably wouldnt hurt either

Check the distributor "O" ring first, you may be able to get away without replacing everything. The distributor "O" ring frequently gets dried and brittle, allowing moisture in and causing stalling. It happened on my 165; simple fix, hopefully yours will be the same.

I'd spray everything with a moisture repellant as well
