Hey guys i just saw a video of people using plasti dip on various parts of their cars to change the look slightly. Plasti dip is a liquid tape and would be a rubber coating it is safe to use on pretty much any surface and is not permanent. I was thinking of using this on my stock 165 wheels just for achieve a different look. What do you guys think about this idea?

The whole point of plasti dip is its non permanent! LOL! Im not going to paint the stock wheels. I plan to buy wheels next year if i dont pick up a cheap pair in the near future. I'm going to put a set of OZ Superturismo WRC.

I used Plasti dip for some parts already, and will use it for more.
    Here is an example:

It can be used on anything, but I personally won't use it on wheels or other painted areas, because it will feel and look like it's made of fabric :)
It's perfect for other parts like wipers, weather strips, etc though, I even want to spray my trunk's shabby interior parts with it, and more.

Here is a closeup of how "Plasti Dipped" surface looks like:

This is on quite flat surface. If you spray it on interior parts with stronger texture, it keeps that texture because it shrinks as it dries out, and it's VERY thin.

That looks real good ! This might be a solution for all those interior parts if they were not so big :) and won't fit the can :p

Cooooool........ I want a pair........ Although in saying that, those blades look shorter than standard and we have big screens huh.

Paint or Powder Coat the wheels...... by the way lads, which is better in your experience as mine need doing ?

It also comes in a spray can............ http://www.plastidip.com/home_solutions/Plasti_Dip

Lion Plasti Srayed his centre consol surround (stereo, ashtray ect..) and exterior trims and it came out sweet.

I'm gonna Plasti Spray my Rear Wiper and Valance...... and brush Plasti Dip on all the tow hooks

Yea, I did the rear wiper too.

No, they can be bought in any size, and I bought the ones that's identical in length to oem wipers. They brand is AquaBlade, and I really like them. I bought them in a local shop, but I guess you can buy it many places and there are other brands too for sure.

    It looks like this:

I'm sure he means the blades as all celicas are allready equiped with the deflector unless some ass took them off before you bought it :) .

Maybe they were standard in specific markets, but I've never seen an ST162 fitted with those deflectors over here...

    Definitely not a JDM part

Yea, they didn't bother using LHD pic for that, just wrote both LHD and RHD part numbers everywhere :)

But you are right, no wing on the JDM model:

Yes the wind deflectors. Only car I've seen them on is high end cars like BMW. Never knew there was an OEM wind deflector for the 4th gen. Leather seats, TEMS, electric lumbar, heated/electric folding mirrors, digital instrument panel wind deflectors lol. Geeez, what's next, Toyota was ahead of its time...

The wipers look good too. That combo with the wind deflector makes the car look a bit more high end.
