paint ideas.

    -ok she's in. im getting the friends and family discount so its gonna be a few weeks before i get the car back. kinda like the shops side project. hopefully ill get her back before pstof.

    -so now i have plenty of time to think about color. im 98% percent sure she needs to be black. so my debate is this.

    -metalic black? be very tough to blend if a future repair is needed, and not huge on big sparkle bits.
    -black pearl? like it
    -satin black?
    -satin black pearl? google it and youll find an is-f very nicely done. currently my fav.

    -not big on flat.

    -ive been looking at every black car in parking lots ect, and am having a very tough time.

    -keep in mind i really want some type of gold wheel. my current favorites are the gotti j55's. the ARE replicas of these would probably what id look for.

    -any ideas/comments would be great.

    The '87 black.

    Saturday we washed the cars, and the '87 (well portions of it) are SHINY black and look great.

    imo the satin stuff shows a lot better on the isf picture cuz it has more edges/lines than a 162

    As you know I have black and imo it suits the Gen4 best.

    However I'll be going to Metallic black when we do a respray - just to bring out the shape
    more and add some more sparkle in the sun and at night.

    Gun metal could look good too, but would have to be pretty dark ie VW GTI
    had a dark colour
    We used it on my Alfa GTV (similar shape) and that car was stunning.

    Flat - na, did a Fiesta in flat vinyl and though it's a fad I thought the car lost it's shape.

    Go for BMW Black,color's name 'Diamond Black' blue pearl in it with some silver shines really good.Can't wait to see it painted picture's pls after it's been done

    A dark gray if you ask me, graphit metal. Suits the gold wheels as well.

    I'm on the opposite opinion as Stig. I think the black looks very good on many cars, but not the 4th gen. 5th gens and 6th gens are looking beautiful in black, but it doesn't work that well on 4th gen (just my opinion, I still like all the black cars here guys so don't take any offense! :) ) It's maybe just because I didn't see a proper nice black one in real life yet.
