cause i saw it about 30 mins ago and its night over here. plus its 6 hours away.... but i have plenty of money that i have saved up. the only thing stopping me is these FUCKED up SHIT laws that stop us youngen's from driving turbo/supercharged/high performance v6/v8 until we are 20.... not long not long !!

but it seems like a nice neat little conversion, plus its a mechanics car so im sure he would have treated it sorta nice :)

Alex, I would make sure you check it has an engineers certificate before you make any plans.

already sent the email asking about that lol

i think it does hey... otherwise he woulda had major problems with pink slip and rego and insurance and all that stuff right?

No, not really. Another forum I am on has the necessary contact details ;) So best to make sure. Plus the other thing is, once you had the car registered it wouldn't be that hard to get a pink slip as long as you didn't leave it lapse long enough to need a blue slip.

blue slip pink slip can't have a turbo till your 20 wow stuff really is backwards on the other side of the world! lol

Can't forget the green slip either, aka CTP (compulsory third party insurance).

Getting even further off topic now (probably should start a new thread..), what is the MINIMUM costs for registration in your parts of the world? In NSW it works out to around $600-700AUD yearly, roughly $500-$600USD.

Oh and we can have turbos, but they are only small capacity cars exempted from the rules - think 700cc buzz boxes :? Not all bad though, mate has a 550cc Mighty Boy punching around 90fwhp and is currently getting a 660cc big-block  conversion that will probably be good for 120fwhp or so, in a 500kg pocket rocket, would quite easily smash any 3SGE and a lot of GTE's too

You have to pay $70 a year for a sticker for you license plates, and $35 every two years for an emissions test here in Ontario...and if you fail the e-test, you have to start paying out of your ass to fix your car so it passes...

is the e-test yearly or bi-yearly now?

    WRONG that ebay celica has a 90-93 motor not a 94. that's a 2nd gen with nothing special 3sgte.

you would think he knew what yr model the engine was... being a mechanic and all !

edit: oh and does it matter that its a gen 2 ?? it would still be better than a gen 1 3sge with 270xxxkms on it :p

I want to get home, so I can start beating people properly in my Celica.

I killed a civic today, just to watch it die.

I know. Which is why I said I want to be driving my Celica again. So I can actually feel I accomplished something when I beat them. 2SE FTW.
