    Hey celicafellas,

I am the MRocha, I live in Portugal and I'm a recent member.

I bought a Toyota Celica 2000GT (ST162) '86 place three years ago. I have wanted to enter in ST162.net to share my project and ask for help too, but had not yet had the opportunity to do so. :p

I'll show my car here and reveal all that was done gradually until the present.

The car is in good condition mechanically, but needs work on the interior and bodywork.

When I bought the car was like this:

After a year with the car stopped:

    to be continued…

** Note: Sorry for my bad English, but I will use google translate to help me ** :lol

welcome! great looking blue on that celica. keep at eye out at your radiator and hoses. that radiator is for st162 with a 2SE engine. note where the upper hose is located compared to other celicas. it should not be close to the exhaust manifold.

    Areas that require special attention:

The indicators and the side panels...

The conical air filter will be replaced for a box filter.

    Shift knob

Exhaust system will be changed too...

lot's of filler get down to the bottom of that and remove those beadings don't work around them other than that car still looks good.

    continuing with the damage ...

In the Inside it is necessary to repair:

    • Dashboard that was full of holes
    • Central painel
    • The doors have cigarette brands and have the support of the switches broken.
    • The seats are in bad condition
    • The trunk is also in poor condition for having suffered "tuning" changes

I did a little experiment to see if it was possible to put a radio 2 Din in the future.

These are the parts that require more attention but there are also other details that will have to be repaired.

with all this damage, I had to buy a ST162 for parts.

I will be post some Photos from the "ST162 for parts" for soon ...

So, the first investments were for the mechanics, for to make a general revision:

(I do not know if it is well translated)

    - Rubber arm front suspension.
    - valve covers gasket. (they had a small oil leak)
    - Kit de distribuição novo. Correia, bomba de água e tensores.
    - Spark plugs
    - New air filter (BMC Carbon admission)
    - Oil and oil filter changed.
    - Bellows steering and transmission.
    - New brake pads.
    - Cleaning injectors

He recently took new bearings, box repair kit power steering (steering was losing oil) and now it is much smoother to drive.

This garage belongs to the mechanic ...:mrgreen

I do not have enough knowledge to do the mechanical part alone. :roll
