Re: Matt's 1989 Celica GT-S most def dude that would be kick ass! im thinking maybe some of us could work out a mid west and west coast meet some time in the summer or something.
Re: Matt's 1989 Celica GT-S hell yea man! lol it would be more of a national meet. maybe like 20+ 162 from this site if they are willing.
Re: Matt's 1989 Celica GT-S most def! ill see what i can cook up maybe find some people in the us toyota owners club who would be interested in it.
Re: Matt's 1989 Celica GT-S it does kinda depend on far in we are going. might i remind you i am from CA.....
Re: Matt's 1989 Celica GT-S oh ssshit yea.. lol thats pretty much out of the question for me. lol maybe to CO is the max for me. dont know how strong my motor will be to make it up and over the mountains.
Re: Matt's 1989 Celica GT-S yeah ditto, and i think she could, just dont push her ha ha! i learned that the hard way this weekend over heated, my thermostat was stuck shut, replaced that but im worried i caused some head gasket damage, shes puffing little bits of white smoke now under heavy throttle, idk if she did it before but hope i dont blow my head gasket.... sad5
Re: Matt's 1989 Celica GT-S If you wrecked the gasket you'd have: Boiling over or using water or milky water/oil ?
Re: Matt's 1989 Celica GT-S Haven't had any of thoughts symptoms i think it could be the valve seals, and there seems to be a ton of condensation in the muffler tip, and some blue/white smoke when i lift off the throttle.
Re: Matt's 1989 Celica GT-S oh damn.... i think it may be the valve clearances the smoking stops once the engine warms up, or is driven some so im confued...
Re: Matt's 1989 Celica GT-S if it was valves it would always be smoking because the oil would get thinner... it could be rings??
Re: Matt's 1989 Celica GT-S right that would make sense, maybe the rings... idk its not serious yet *knock on wood* but if it gets worse ill let you know. ohnoes
Re: Matt's 1989 Celica GT-S i hate when engines give in .... you can never trust them again after!!!
Re: Matt's 1989 Celica GT-S ha ha i know but its partly dude to the smoke just stopping, its toying with me some lol crazy :bounce:
Re: Matt's 1989 Celica GT-S Yeah rings, you shouldn't rev/drive it when it's cold A car that has good rings & seals will have clean oil for a long time, bet yours is black
