Try to pm Stig to see if he would be kind enough to give you the dimensions for the GT-FOUR
badge. That badge being reproduced would be great for the alltrac community. Lots of guys on
alltrac.net and here would probably buy it.

id be happy to get the measurements for the toyota emblem. maybe we could get custom (1 off) ones with our choice of wording? $40 bucks would be right on for something like that.

I think the twincam 16 would sell also, but technically you'd have to make 2 different versions since how it's mounted differs between pre and facelift grilles :roll

I made a pre fit a facelift, but it was kind of tedious :eek:ops

This was the original idea that I had, but I noticed lots of people were after OEM badges too.
I could fairly easily add any wording that would fit to the badge.

I just need measurements and I can basically model any of them.

That's alright I'll be pretty busy this weekend building an econometer and custom T-VIS controller to put in the gauge cluster of my sleeka :D
I could assemble a bunch of them aswell if anyones interested.

Great Idea and I'm very interested and can't wait to see the how you do it....... A tacho is handy but a vacuum/econometer guage is more usefull to me....... bring it on :popcorn

Vacuum gauge! Definitely including that in the final build.
    So far it can show;
    L/100Km
    L/minute
    mL/second
Liters left in fuel tank (reads the fuel sender gauge, but you have to calibrate it so it's accurate)
    Liters till empty
    Km till empty (approx.)
    Graphical fuel gauge
    T-VIS status
    Set T-VIS activation RPM

Things like a super accurate tacho would be fairly easy to implement too, since I'm using the injector pulse to measure fuel used.

    -sounds cool.

though i think plug pulse would be highly inaccurate for fuel use.

I have to take me of the list... being unemployed also means less cash to spend :(

Derp, I meant injector pulse duration. Of course using spark pulse would be a terrible idea lol

That's alright, I probably won't have them ready for a bit and I won't be turning a profit so no difference to me

Hey Aaron, I'm gonna buy a spare gauge cluster so I can keep my original and wait for you to mod one. ............. In the mean time I'm gonna grab a vacuum gauge to hook up somewhere, there as cheap as.

Could you post a pic of your cluster as it is now.

hey i was bored, so i decided to try to do a mock up of the GT-Four badge by guestimating how it fits onto the grille + using a "Toyota" badge that i have. see if you can complete the dimensions for the "GT" (left side). i estimated the height of the "GT" from the spacing of the grille, could be 25 or 26mm, and the overall length is just a guess, should be close though. this will only fit the pre-facelift cars, the facelift version would need a 7-10mm slit just above the screw hole.

Disclaimer: this is assuming that the "Four" part is the same height as the "Toyota" that i used here, which looks about right. This may be nowhere near accurate, but just for the OP to play around with the 3d software to somehow produce something close.

With the power of 3d software, it may help you to have some sort of dimensions to start off...

My cluster is no different to the stock one right now.
What I've been doing is designing the wiring and programming the microchip, won't have a usable prototype for a week or so.

I'll make a new thread when I've got a prototype to see if I can generate enough interest to justify getting custom PCBs made up instead of making them by hand.

Thanks, I'll see what I can do with that.
What is the second picture of?

the "Toyota" original badge that sits on fwd 162's. i'm assuming that it's height and behind are the same on the "Four" on the "GT-Four" badge, leaving you to render up the "GT" part
