i am Hmong. legal US citizen
a lot of people dont know who we are. kinda sad. haha im sure there are hmong people in the UK just havent met them yet steve

no offense in advance steve im just telling the history as it is.
well the Hmong people are originally came from southern Siberia. then migrated south into Northern China. that is where we got our dominant asian look dark brown eyes and dark hair. in our beginings we actually had blonde hair and blue eyes, but still had the chinkie eyes. there are still hmong people that have blue eyes and blonde hair. but it is no longer a dominant gene, more recessive now. it is very rare to find a hmong person with these traits. they either have the blue eyes or blonde hair. occasionally you can find some with both. well, in china we are known as the Miao. we didnt sit too well with the chinese and we were forced into the Southern China and into the mountains as well. as time went on the chinese eventually pushed the majority of the Hmong people out of china and into Thailand, Laos, pretty much Indochina. and that is were we stayed up until the Vietnam War. at that time Thailand fell under communist rule with the northern Vietnamese and genoside began for us. we were hunted, captured, and killed. you can also google "the secret war" that is the hmong involvement with the US against communism in Vietnam. The US promised us a place of refuge if they lost and our own land if they won. The genocide continues even to this day. the Hmong people that are still in the Mountains of Thailand still fight for everyday that they have. Sending video pleaing for help from us in the states. if you heard, General Vang Pao, our general during the vietnam war, was arrested for trying to help out people overseas. anyways, apperantly the US lost and we were dispursed all over the world. Mainly in France, the US, and the UK. you can find some hmong people in Canada, Brazil, and even Australia. we are everywhere but in little numbers. That was our history in a nut shell.

steve - i speak Hmong. i do speak english at home too though. its only when i speak to my parents or to the aunties and uncles i speak hmong.

matt - 4 points? wtf! colorado regs must be weird. here in california, we only get one....oddd......cant you take traffic school to clear it?
