JDM HOOD PROP

    True that there are many things you could do to the hood or wrap parts inside on the engine bay to reduce alot of heat and this make the car look a bit ugly. I have tested it on the highway and Ive been driving it around to see how stable it is. I can assure you it will not harm you or other drive unless you install it wrong. Like Ive said before this is a cheap fix to help anyone who wanted too or is interested in. :D

    Saw an interesting article today

    What Mafix says is true, the pressure under the bonnet is higher than the air flowing over it
    The air going into the engine bay accounts for 10% of a car's total drag co-efficient.

    Merc now has a system of shutters behind the radiator to limit the amount of air into the engine
    bay and have published wind tunnel figures to prove it works. They can improve the car's drag
    just by closing the shutters

    Like I said before, the pressure under the race car fibre bonnet was high enough to bend it
    20cm up into the air at 250ks

    Here's a race car trying to make use of a bonnet vent, the sides need to be closed as well to work properly
