i have just recently picked up an 88 GT hatch. i was wondering if any of you guys know where i can find a cover for the hatch. The kind that is kind of like a roll up shade for a window. Thankx, Blu
yeah i looked at an auto zone here but no go ... but then again i live in the boondocks. i will look in town tomorrow. What are you guys thought's on the roll out ones vs the solid cover that attach's to the hatch glass by string. Which do yo like better and pros and cons. Sorry for all of the new guy questions. This is my first hatchback... my other Celica was a lift back, so i don't have much experience with hatchbacks.
lol no worries its what im here for lol, try wal-mart too, and other combination stores. as for my opinion, i wouldnt bother with them in the first place, and a hatchback is a liftback lol. i think your thinking of a notch back, or a coupe style...
when i bought mine it had the stock solid cover i liked it the problem is the break pretty easy due to 20+ years of use they are also pretty hard to find
I like the Stock one myself, they are easy to take in an out, and add a little polish to the car. as TwinCamTuner mentioned theya re hard to find and usuialy in rough shape if you do. if you had the mesurements making one out of MTF board and Auto carpet, wouldn't be too hard. (I am hoping to do this at some point)
They always got in my way. I hated them. First thing to go in the long weight reduction process in my book. I think I might have one floating around in my garage somewhere. I've torn apart enough celicas that I think I stumbled across a good one. Don't hold me to it though.
I have my busted one in the garage as well as the carpet i can get measurements if anyone wants um. also i had thought of making one out of 1/8" plexi. May be a thought.
