dash removal

    is there anything i need to know b4 i rip the dashboard apart so i can remove all the unnecessary things ie. for the a/c. the dash is in perfect shape and i'd hate to ruin it because i forgot something. thanks

    there are quite some points where it is attached. Take your time and don't force it, that's not neccesary. use a flashlight to search those screws as they sometimes hide in the dark ;) hehehe.

    prity straight forward really, just time consuming taking the steering wheel off and having the help of someone else will be big helps. aking all the underside plastics off is simple n straight forward, take out the guage cluster, unclip as much of the loom as possible, undo the nuts and screws and bobs ya mothers brother

    dash is like 10 bolts.... my record is 13 mins lol

    Not a very wise idea, take your time and do it properly.
    The plastic is also now very brittle
    It's very easy to crack the heater console holder or speedo cable holder for instance
    There are hidden clips for the wiring harness and take heaps of photo's so you know where
    everything went

    I'm busy doing a how-to but there's like 100 photos to sort & upload,
    plus I'm not sure the LHD is the exact opposite - which do you have?

    i have the LHD. what i want to do is remove the whole HVAC assembly and everything related to it. i have to remove the dash correct?

    Not just the dash but the steel bars behind it as well

    I'm doing tha same as mine is full of leaves, the heater blocked, vents leaking etc
