Hi all.I have always wanted to own my dads old 1956 ford customline and loved the colours on it.With a bit of help from a friend they have coloured my car the same or similar wat to it.I know its not a 50's cruiser but i do plan on one day owning a customline or 50's car.I would like to know what you guys think of the style as i see it as a unique car colour for a 162

I don't like it. It doesn't fit the car at all (in my opinion of course).

I like it, two tone works well on our cars as long as the colours are complimentary. I'd do the roof in the blue as well though.

Two tone paint jobs (depending on how they're done and the colors of course) are really hard to nail down and make it look good. It all comes down to the body lines. Classics (50s, etc) with curves are easy to pull off two tone high contrast paint jobs because something usually is between the two. On that Chevy there is a chrome trim piece that splits the blue and white sections. How on straight cars (such as the st162) a two tone is harder to pull off because there isn't much to 'split' on the body. Mafix's car looks great with the two tone job because the colors are the same palette (shades of grey).

Thank you for your opinions so far guys. As i said this is just an idea at this point but am glad to hear from some people their ideas. Also 4thgenceli the car isnt a chev its a ford thats the only car i wouldnt own in aus as the 50's chevs are soo common and the customline Aus delivered ones were better looking and worth more and classier imo. But thank you for your help

I also don't like it that's me have you tried those colour's on full white car and green below the door beadings that could maybe work. But I also say two tone is not the way to go on this type of car.

thanks guys for your opinions if any of you are able to try and do a different design with colours for me or even switch them around a bit with having below black strips one colour and above the other. As this is all experimental i am open to other styles also as i would like something thats not as common as just something like white black i have thught about black with a pearl look to it or candy colours.i do appreciate your help and don't take any of this to heart as i have asked for honest opinions.

It's got potential! I like the colours and I ithink you should do the roof too, what if you lower the blue section to be in the middle of the front park lights and taillights, like the ford? Or just do the pillars and roof, something like LionTR's car. Very different colours but it looks great
