I unfortunately need to do a cat relocation for inspection if I want to put the header on. I know it sounds silly, but no one will pass me without it. I thought I could get away without it, WRONG  My proposed solution is to swap out the rear resonator for a cat and problem solved. I believe there is only 1 O2 sensor which will essentially remain where it is.

Has anyone done this or am I the first? Rear cat recommendations? Lastly, would this mess w/ the car performance at all?

dude you can stick the cat anywhere. . just cut out a small section of your exhaust under where your ebake/ shifter lever is and weld in the cat.

Thanks, I thought so just checking. I wish I could get a fake cat but I don't think the mechs will fall for that trick ;)

I was thinking a new magnaflow, seems somewhat inexpensive @ ~$60.
The lesser quality one is ~$40
