Found this, thought it would be worthy of a discussion: AUTOPOWER roll bar (bolt on/weld-in) http://www.autopowerindustries.com/rollbars.asp http://www.modacar.com/products/Toyota/Celica/ROLLCAGE/ Site says specifically engineered for the 1986-1989 celica for ~$500+ depending - WOW - COOL  Is anyone familiar with this product or installed this roll bar by chance? Any comments/thoughts? Here's a product shot and a photochop just for the hell of it
interesting, i mapped out the cage i wana build for my car. im not so much for the shiny look, black or blue here.
esraceing has one, mine technically, lol. i was unaware they would work in a vert as well. very interesting.
Sorry I mis-typed, it's not a cage it's a 4pt roll bar. Not sure if it would work in all honestly but if it could - that would be sweeet  1) Top clearance is probably the major issue. 2) Might have to lose the rear seat and even if I didn't take out the seat no one could really sit back there It would end up as a shelf for amps LOL My original idea was a modified miata or z3 hoop style welded to the seats... however $xxx.xx+ to reholpolster the seats would make it not worth it. Might as well go for the 4-point bar and have added structural support for the same cost. A typical z-3 knock-off (sorry no photochop)
Still looks damn sweet, nice style re the roll hoops, that could look trick as bit like the speedster show car toyota built.
That's DB89celGTconv 'vert - very cleeeen celi. I like the hoop style better cosmetically speaking, but that style falls short of what I'm trying to accomplish - getting the car ready for the eventual gte  -K
