Ive been there..but trust me if you get it rebuilt and have it tuned properly and running good..theres nothing better than raisng a car from the dead..a newer, more dependable, more hp car is nice but.. when you have blood sweat and tears in something..Its hard to let go.

^^^ Amen to that. I bought my '86 with a blown engine, and a stuffed gearbox. It went from that, to being a reliable daily driver that's done ~23,000km with no major issues, putting down 123whp So in my case, just because its older doesn't mean less dependability and less power
